have your thyroid levels tested. specify that you want "FREE T3" and "FREE T4" levels (they will ask you about T3 uptake etc...just repeat yourself) in addition to TSH TSH should be between 1.0 and 2.0 also, try taking Niacin (Vitamin B3) 500mg two times daily (with meals or drinks). Do not take the time release version. IP: Logged |

Puc is right. A little prozac will fix you up. They say it even helps motivate you to go to the gym. IP: Logged |

Depression is not always caused by discontent with life. It is a low level of certain chemicals in the brain, doesn't need to be unhappy with marriage, work, etc. Do some research on it, there is tons of info on the web. IP: Logged |

Hey bro, stay clear of the following if your going to take antidpressants, Celexa and Prozac, they will ruin your sex drive, you'll be able to get it up, but you won't be able to get it off, if you know what I mean, nothing but frustration...Now serzone doesn't do that to most men.... See your Dr, I did and I'm much happier...Best of luck...ask your Doc about this one...I can tell you from personal experience on this one. IP: Logged |

BigT great advice!! CYP. Pizza, Get the chemical levels tested. That's probably the cause. And please don't take the opinions of the guys on this board seriously about the drugs. Have a doc check you out. Matt IP: Logged |

Just go see your doctor and get evaluated for depression. DO NOT SELF MEDICATE YOURSELF for depression. IP: Logged |

listen good, do not take those addicting toxic drugs, you will be worse in the end, I am a chiropractor and clinical nutritionist, get your amino acid levels checked, blood and urine, what makes up your neurotrasmittors, amino acids, when these are not balanced , depression may set in, you also may have hidden food reactions, get a cytotoxic test for those, dont take prozac or that other garbage, niacin or trytophane is a good start, e mail mail, would like to know the lab results... Check out St. Johns Wort, a lot of people swear by it and its actually prescribed more in foriegn countries than drugs for treating depression, its pretty cheap and doesnt really have any sides so look into it. Also S.A.M.E is out but i dont know much about that one, saw it in GNC and is supposed to be a good natural alternative like St. Johns Wort. IP: Logged |

Yes,msg, none of us were advocating self-medication. We wouldn't self-medicate...damn, where did that gear come from......But seriously, the guy is obviously smart enough to see a doc first. IP: Logged |
