I was just wondering, I know there is a lot of confusion and many of the answers are opinion based.. but what do you guys think the best meal replacement power/protein supplement is? I have been using Myoplex Deluxe (Strawberry good, Chocolate ok) for a while now, I've noticed that is a bit expensive (just behind Muscletech).. On days when I can't make a shake I usually grab a peanut butter Metrx bar.. anyone had any experiences or seen any lab analysis done one any of these or other products?

What about glutamine power? Creatine?

Those few supplements about cover all the "natural" supplements I'd ever want to probably waste my money on..

Met-rx, Myoplex, all the same. Just a fancy way of saying whey and milk protein mixture. I make my own, with whey protein and carb powder from the local beer maker. As for creatine just get a brand that is reputable, such as twinlab, eas (eeek!), ast, there's a lot of them. I think that champion Power Glutamine is the best deal for that out there, 400 gm for $25 or so, but you have to use AT LEAST 10 gm for anything, imo. I have used more and seen NOTHING, but I would definetely try it because my blood/brain barrier is fucked up. Bottom line FOOD is the key, with a priority on protein. 2 cans of tuna are better than 1 myoplex anyday in my book.

well, the best tasting and very good meal replacement is vanilla Lean Body by Labrada. Go to their site and they will send you a free sample. You can get a box of 20 for about $25-27 with a discount supplement company. It is 45g protein, moderate carbs(5g sugar) and is easy mixing. I love the damn stuff!! Anyway as far as L-glutamine I use Steromax and get mine from a wholesale company at about $19-20 for 500g. Take about a tablespoon before(30-45min) and after workouts....you will notice an excellent strength and endurance boost.

Why not make your own, I mix a scoop of Whey and a scoop of Soy in with 8oz milk and you get a drink with 50 grams protein, practically no fat or carbs and 280 calories. You also get a vast array of Amino Acids, something that a lot of experts tout as important yet none of the companies make. If you need to get carbs with this have a baked potato or rice with it.You could also use it as a good base, add things to it on a bulking cycle or keep as is for cutting up.

The absolute best tasting protein powder out now are those made by Dymatize. The are absolutely delicious. WWW.GetBigger.com sells their 2lb'ers for $19.99 - so damn cheap.

Does anyone know a good discount supplement supply store on the internet? I need to buy some Protizyme, which is the best tasting lo-carb protein powder I've ever tried. My local store sells it for $25.50 for 2 lbs.

Also, anyone tried TRIPLE THREAT 3/60 yet? It sounds great but you just don't know until you've tried it.

I ordered some formulas from the Protein Factory last week and will give a report when they arrive if anyone is interested.
Got 32 oz. of flax for I think around $15.
