Hi, just thought I'd give a 2 cents worth. I use GABA as a sleeping aid also. I would'nt even consider it was a testo booster. I'm amazed at the adverts in the mags saying that "this and that" supplement boosts natural testo levels.
However it is great for sleep and I really feel recovered when I use it. It's also THE ONLY supplement that you'll actually feel working almost right away.

does this stuff actually put you to sleep and at what dose? Are we talking mega-dosing? I tried Melatonin at high doses and got nothing...I think there is something wrong with my blood/brain barrier. I've heard this before and I could really use some sleep help right about now...

GABA was introduced as a GH releaser, I have never heard any info concerning any effects on test levels. I would be interested in information concerning this idea.

It is surpose to boost GH by 400procent (It says so on the bottle), I just sleep better, But I read in my girlfriends schoolbook, that the more you dream the less GH gains you would get...I will try to post the exact words a another time..
It says that you should take 5grams...but I did that ones, and I thougt I would die...
So I only take 2 grams now...when I take it..

I'm the exact same way - I can take up to
10 melatonins and feel alert as hell...the
same with Gaba. However, there is a great
product called Sonata which I strongly
advocate, which makes you fall asleep (10mg)
In addition, it is non-habit forming so
physicians readily prescribe it - and readily
refill your prescription.

first of all...melatonin is not dose dependent. You will not gain anything by taking 10 mgs as opposed to 3 mgs. You can take 100mg and it wont do any better. New studies have dismissed this product as efficacious anyways. As for Sonata, it is very habit forming and becoming a drug of abuse due to its very fast onset of action causing "hallucinations" in some people. The amount of prescriptions written for this will decrease rapidly in the very near future. GABA does not induce testosterone production. As for GH levels with GABA, I would have to say any increases would be insignificant enough to warrant taking this.

GABA is a precursor to GHB. GHB has been shown to greatly increase GH levels. The problem is it increases prolactin levels
as well.
