wassup bros,

i know that i'm supposed to stick to basic compound movements while on juice so that i can make the most out of my gains. my question is, whats better... dumbells or barbells for packing on the mass? ie. decline barbell press or decline dumbbell press?

also how does this routine sound

day 1
chest and abs

day2
legs and arms

day 3
cardio and abs

day 4
shoulders and back

day 5
off

repeat cycle

help a bro out...

No cardio on a bulking cycle. If you can do
arms on leg day you're not hitting legs
hard enough. Try chest,back,shoulders,arms,
legs,sat and sun off.

i see you guys point, and saint, thats typically what my workout schedule looks like. hit one muscle a day and hit it hard for the week. but since i'm on AS, i figure i could push it to a 5 day cycle so i can hit certain body parts twice a week. do you guys think i should just stick to hitting a particular muscle once a week?

I'd hit it once a week, but make sure you hit the fuck out of it. The problem with going twice a week, you dont wanna burn yourself out. AS works great for your muscles, but its easy to get burnt out mentally.

my favorite routine is a four day on one day off routine.
day one---chest and biceps
day two-legs, calves
day three-shoulders and triceps
day four-back and calves, along with deads
next day off
repeat
i really like this one

You gotta change your workout routines every once in a while. I know its hard after you get used to it but it hits your body differently and youll grow better. If you stick to the same old exercises and same old routine for a long time, your body will generally adapt to it.
Use DB one week and BB the other. And remember to keep your workouts interesting. If you see that you can lift more weight with BBs then do them first, then do DBs when you have less energy. And if one day you feel really pumped when you walk into the gym, do an exercise that is really hard for you which you are usually to tired to do. I personally only stick to basic heavy movements and I do very little almost zero cardio. Thats because I'm an ectomorph and I will never get fat. NEVER. I still do them once in a while to strengthen my heart and lungs. my routine is this:

day 1 chest + abs
day 2 back
day 3 legs
day 4 shoulders + abs
day 5 arms
day 6 & 7 rest

I work every group only once a week but I work the fuck out of them. I'm talking a 3 hour workout.

I slip my routine with 5 on 2 off. Hit one body part a day, except I do calves and abs twice a week. I hit bi's, tri's and forearms on the same day. Yes, you can do more on AS, but I would add one more exercise or one more set instead of twice a week. Hit them as hard as you can. Believe me, you can't do more than once a week cause you'll be too sore. Especially during a cycle, I'm sore from almost every workout cause I push my body so hard. Also, something I plan to do in my bulking cycle is to continue cardio. I do 40min a day, 4 days a week after workout. I'll cut that to 2 to 3 days 20min at a time. I've realized that I don't want to get to fat in the bulking cycle. I want to gain mass, but what sense does it make to spend all this money on excess food to gain alot of weight when come spring you have to shed it. So I'll still bulk up, but I'm not going to get ridiculus to where I gain alot of fat.

Use a good split so you can kill your seperate muscle groups on their days. I have found that splits work much better on cycle than do combination days.
Also, i like to change it up every week. Keep a solid rotation going on all your exercises to subject your muscles to new stimulus constantly.

What ever happened to good old

Back and Bi
Chest and Tri
Shoulders and legs
Cardio 4 -5 days a week

You know muscle pre-exhaustion.

I have also done arms all by themselves but, my opinion is as long as you are focussing on the muscle group after being you become stronger and shape that area.

Eventuallly, you will have braek it down futher but, I split my day up (twice a day) when I am pushing through.

But, I tend to ramble
