I live in San Diego & a local news station did a story on the TJ boarder. It was about the new License Plate Readers or LPRs as they call 'em. The readers log info at the time of crossing and send the info to customs. They can record information such as how often the vehicles crosses the bosrder and the duration of the visit. this is becoming a police state...those things even know how often you'll go to mexico..i guess you'll have to use different entrance and exit points..even then the fuckers will track you down. ------------------ IP: Logged |

They prob have a big data base based on dept of motor vehicles and can cross referance if you cross at a new place. (I do data entry stuff for work) Try different cars or rent them. If you have two cars regestered to you, then you need to borrow a buddies car as the info will still come back to you. or if you get stopped once and they have your info (drivers liscence number) then let someone else drive next time. I might also add that the lead in for this story was that they caught a drug smuggler due to having the LPRs at the boarder. IP: Logged |
