make sure you stay as upright as possible when doing squats, every 5 degrees forward puts like and extra 500 pounds of pressure on the spine Also train abs 3 times a week, back pain from sports can sometimes be a result of weak abs.

ok, i trained abs hard yesterday, and squatted today and the shit kills...maybe its because my abs were weak? it comes and goes...i think that may be it, since i dont have any problems after deadlifting, since you dont use your abs as support, does that make sense? shit this is my 99th post and im still asking dumb assed questions, i better chill before my next post, id be a fraud if my title was 'pro bodybuilder'

Train with good-mornings and half-deadlifts to strengthen the weak lower-back, plus train abs with weights and lower reps. Vit C would also help with pain, a little.

Squats are hell on the lower back, trust me I know. I've found that good stretching, before and after really helps a lot. Stretching also helps muscles recover faster.

Bro, I have been experiencing the exact same symptoms you described for about 4 months now. When I do squats, my lower back hurts to the point to where it is almost unbearable. The pain is usually gone a couple of days later, and always returns the next week when I train legs again. I have a Dr. appointment tomorrow with a back specialist. I hope it is just a pulled muscle or inflamation, and not anything to do with my spinal column. I just want to get it checked out to be on the safe side. I would recommend you do the same.

lower back pain is no fun.
i hurt mine again last week and it's taken over a week for the pain to subside. it was seriously FUCKED UP!! i wasn't even doing heavy squats either.
the pain gets so intolerable that i couln't sleep at night. i took a shot of ketamine to kill the pain some.
anyway, doctor or no doctor, be careful. trust me, i really regreted doing that last set of squats. if you have to stick to leg presses and smith-machine squats do it, even if they say that only "real men" do squats. screw that. lower back problems are serious.

It may be weak abs.I had back cramps sorta' like you describe despite heavy deadlifts with no pain.As soon as i began a rigorous ab routine it quickly went away...if your neglecting ab work give it a try and see what happens...i hope you heal soon, when your back goes you might as well forget it.

I believe it is from the back muscles getting pump as I am stronger at squat off the juice while on I can't even walk I believe it is because of the large weight gain and juice pump

Whatever you do, don't let them talk you into any operations before you seek conservative care first (i.e. chiropractor, PT, etc.) Trust me, I've seen this mistake a hundred times before (wink, wink).
