![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() anyone ever used sodium bicarbonate as an ergogenic aid. Have just finished my dissertation entitled the effects of sodium bicarbonate on high intensity intermittent resistance exercise and its implications for bodybuilding. I had subjects perform 4 sets of 8 reps in the squat manouvre on the smiths at 70% 1rep max. Then 1 set to failure. Although there was no increase in the amount of work performed the SB did delay the onset of fatigue as average heart rate and RPE scores were lower over the course of the 5 sets. Sorry for being so f"$%@g boring. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() You're talking about NaHCO3 right? Isn't that regular baking soda? how was it administered? And, at what doses? Not that I'm thinking of dissolving and shooting/drinking any today before my workout! IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() not really. Try it at a dosage of 0,3g.kg mody mass. Drink it about an hour before your workout drinking as much water as you can handle. Perform high rep work and you should be able to notice a difference. Be warned, the chances of gastrointestinal disturbances are quite high and no one can workout when they have the s@*s.
