![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I just started on sunday night, I must say, i don't have even have enough energy for a shit, let alone a workout. But I have a roll on my gut that needs to be removed. Some people swear that they feel better than ever once they have been on it for a week or so. I feel like shit so far. I have heard two stories: One, it is a total waste, you will loose all kinds of muscle, and Two, you will lose very little muscle, if any at all and loose only fat. Any experiences with this bizarre diet? Ty IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I use the keto/body opus for short durations all the time. I love the Monday and Tuesday after the carb-up. You have to have discipline and the correct numbers on the protein/fat/carb ratios, but if you get it right you will be pleased. Take some clen or eca and you will be ready for anything. The people that lose all muscle either don't have much to begin with, genetically can't oxidize all the fats, or don't eat enought GOOD fat, ie flax oil and olive oil. Get it perfect, load with creatine 5 gm at every other carb meal on the weekends, and you will be very happy. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I had very positive results with the ketogenic diet. I lost over 30lbs, mostly fat. Maybe 5-7 lbs of muscle. But that was a trade I was willing to make. Honestly, I don't think I would have lost ANY muscle if I'd kept better track of my meals and supplementation. The diet really helped me shed most of my gut. And I'll put the 5-7 lbs of muscle back on (plus some) this summer. ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The diet works IF YOU FOLLOW IT AND DO NOT CHEAT. i lost 50 lbs NO SHIT!! it will work for you if you have the discipline, i now use it inbetween cycles to help shed some access weight (fat) i've gained over the last 8-12 weeks! hehe good luck oh and invest in a george foreman, nothing cooks meat better/faster/better for you! later! p.s. push through the tired period, once your body becomes a fat burning furnace, you will have a CONSTANT ENERGY SUPPLY and will NEVER BE TIRED, i speak from experience.... have fun, stay motivated, it will work! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Body Opus does work. I am on it right now (3wks)... Mixed with cardio I have actually gained two pounds while shedding 2% BF. The carbing up is the great part - you literally explode during that phase. And yes, you will get used to it in a couple of weeks. Remeber to still eat lean protein (Tuna, chicken, lean beef, etc). The Flax Oil is a great addition to this idea. Also remeber to hit the major muscle groups on Monday and Tuesday. You'll be hurting if you work legs or chest on Thursday. ------------------

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Yeah, I like it, it worked for me. Did it for 3 weeks along with t3 and clen, dropped 14lbs FAST! Lots of extra cardio too. Couple friends had pretty good results also. ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm really interested in trying this diet out. Can I get a book at the book store about it or do I have to order it online? Point me in the right direction. Are there a bunch of variations (like atkins) or is it pretty standard?? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I have heard that THE KETOGENIC DIET by Lyle McDonald is good.... Anyone else know of a better source? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() If you're going to try it, Body Opus is the way to go. Atkins and the others don't concentrate on maintaining muscle. They just tell you how to drop the fat. Body Opus introduces massive carb intake to shock your system in to either keeping your muscle gains or actually increasing gains via an anabolic state. I have done this system for three yeards and swear by short term results. ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Books to get: Lyle McDonald's Ketogenic Diet Dan Duchaine's Underground Body Opus (the BEST) Mauro Dipasquale's Anabolic Diet Fats to NOT eat: lots of mayo, cheese, egg yolks, these killed one of my keto cycles. If you follow the Duchaine book EXACTLY, ie eating every two hours EVEN DURING THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, it will work out awesome. It did for me with no gear or gray market supps. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() There are many versions of the Keto diet, like adkins, the anabolic diet. The key is to make sure you eat enough protein to prevent muscle loss. I've done it several times and do loose a good amount of body fat. One VERY IMPORTANT tip I learned from experience. DRINK plenty of water. I don't mean 8 glasses a day either, I mean LOTS... I recently had some blood work done and my kidney function was down. Based on a couple of lab values (BUN & Creat) It simply looked as if I was dehydrated and I was already drinking at least 130oz of H2O a day. I doubled it, and now the numbers are fine. I know it had to be the diet, cause I haven't done a cycle in quite awhile. Stick to it, it will work. IP: Logged |
