FLoridaFLexRx Pro Bodybuilder (Total posts: 160)	posted May 24, 2000 11:37 AM Ok, I know there have been posts on this, but the decision is still unclear. There are many pros and cons to using both methods(internationally speaking). Anyone have hands on experience with packages being seized both ways? Anyone have any more pros and cons? For the us postal service: Sheer volume gets it through undetected, more mail goes through in one week US post than Fedex&UPS in a year combined. they also need a warrant to open the stuff if it goes first class, but it's a federal offense. Fed-Ex: I heard they don't x-ray Fed Ex packages and If you express it, it has less time to be seen. Also, I don't think the feds want to go looking through corporate mail, as long as the package is flat and small. And it's not a federal offense to ship the stuff with fedex. IP: Logged

And where did you guys get the idea that a warrant is necessary for customs to open a package, just probable cause. If they needed a warrant every time, the court systems would be backed up for the next 100 years!!! As for which one to use, go with the postal service like someone said, sheer volume of packages increases the odds it will go thru undetected. Safety in numbers people!!! IP: Logged
