bros... I used to drink a gallon of skim milk a day or just about a gallon. However, this past weekend my gf spilled some milk on her kitchen floor, and when she went to clean it up... maggots!!! F'n sick! The milk was brand new. Looks like the maggots were there but she didn't notice them until she got close to the floor to clean the milk up. So, I spent this past weekend trying to kill maggots. I swear, there had to be at least 25 of them. And they don't die!! I eventually started burning them. I poured bleach all over the floor too and that seemed to piss them off! Anyway, some pest guys came today and took care of things.... But now, I can't drink milk. When I think milk I think maggots and it's just f'n gross. I tried to drink just one glass today, but could only get a few sips down. The maggot thing f'ed me up! Hopefully I'll get over it within the next few days. I just might force myself to pound down a gallon tomorrow. So, word to the wise.... maggots don't die easily, and your mind plays funny games on you!! So, next time in the gym just throw some weight on without thinking about poundage and you'll probably get it. Or have your partner throw the weight on. You'll probably get it. It's just a mental thing!!! Maybe I should change my signature to "maggot killer"... hehehe ------------------ [This message has been edited by deadlifter (edited May 24, 2000).] IP: Logged |

what you guys are talking about is spontaneous generation, which um doesnt happen...the milk had to be contaminated. but look on the bright side, milk has protein and bugs have ALOT of protein... chris ------------------ IP: Logged |

If they are so hard to kill, I wonder if they die if you drink some down. IP: Logged |

If your bad experience with milk makes you nauseous every time you think of milk in the future, then you have "Sauce Bernaise Syndrome", which is an evolutionary adaptation that keeps you away from substances that have poisoned you in the past. IP: Logged |

The same thing happened to me with rice about 5 years back. I dropped some of my rice on the floor, and when I went to wipe up the mess there were a bunch of maggots wiggling around in the rice. I didn't eat rice for nearly 3 years after that. Even though I could look at rice and know that maggots weren't in it, my stomach would turn if I tried to eat some. It's amazing how the brain makes these associations. But don't worry. You'll get over it. Just give it some time and ease your way back in. I fucking hate maggots. Oh shit, speaking of maggots, here's a funny one. About the same time as the rice incident above (within a couple of months of each other -- what luck), I bought one of those big bags of protein at GNC (long time ago guys). Anyway, I was about half-way through the bag when one morning I opened it up to scoop some protein out and there were a shitload of maggots staring back at me. I couldn't fucking believe it! Needless to say, GNC gave me my money back (looking back I should have sued, but hey, I was young and dumb.) But the moral of the story is, I got over it and started eating protein again the next day (although I stopped the rice for the time being -- probably because rice resembles maggots or something.) So, grab a gallon of milk and drink up boy! IP: Logged |

There might not be maggots in water but recently in Pineville Louisiana, some water department jerkoff connected a sewer main to a supply main and for over a month people had sewer coming out of their faucets, showers etc. Think about it, brushing your teeth, drinking, bathing. Pretty sick!! This is a true story. IP: Logged |

You could always try chocolate milk-at least that way the maggots would be clearly visible even if they're sitting at the bottom of the glass. Maybe a bit of that dark brown wild rice too. IP: Logged |
