When they say drink alot of water they mean 2 gallons a day. It sounds like your kidney is hurting instead of your liver. If you don't get any more responses here, you ought to see a doctor.

I have a friend who this happened to. The doc told him it was b/c of the high protein intake. Drink lots of water (a gallon plus per day). If the pain gets real bad go to the ER, don't screw around with it.

Hey bud

Did this pain come on very sudden or has it slowly been increasing in intensity?

Generally, true kidney pain is slightly higher than the position you are describing. You may have a slight misalignment of the spine which a chiropractor could help correct.

Good Luck...

hard to say man

Your liver is in the R upper quadrant of your abdomen

Your kidneys are on both sides obdviously.

Is it painful if you say grab your belly on the L side or only painful when you breathe?

If it gets worse, don't mess around.
It may be a mm strain.
A few simple blood tests will tell if your kidney is working excessively.
Hard to diagnose here though.
good luck

The pain slowly increases and then at times decreases does not come on sharp.. i feel like i got a little better now.. but before i went to the gym did a few reps and couldnt do anymore because it hurt and i felt like i was going to yack really messing with my stomach.. its not painful when i grab my belly the pain is coming from my back and if i take a big breathe i can just feel it more almost like something is pressing on it..

Im currently debating whether or not to take my next shot on thursday.. but most likely i will..
