![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I've made some changes to my workout schedule since starting my cycle. To maximize gains in mass, I've moved away from many isolation-type movements and tried to stick with basic compound movements. What do you think of this: day 1: chest day 2: back day 3: triceps day 4: biceps / forearms wrist curls 5 x 10 reps day 5: legs / calves standing calf raise 5 x 8 reps day 6: shoulders day 7: off I'm making good gains......but looking for input so I can make great gains. Any suggestions? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Why you don't break the week like in day 3 working your legs, so it gives time to your upper body to rest and recuperate. I also work just one major muscle group a day take care El hangover coyote IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Awesome workout routine. The only thing you may want to try is training both bi's and tri's on the same day to get an enormous arm pump and give yourself 2 rest days per week. Sometimes I'll even train tri's after chest and bi's after back to give myself three rest days. I like to use the weekend to rest and eat, eat, eat. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I was training bi's and tri's on the same day, but experienced a few problems. First, my arms are lagging behind the rest of my body. I train like a beast, so if I hit bi's first....my tri workout suffered, or the other way around. I split them up and started moving a lot more weight with each. This is also the reason I put them at that point in the week....tri's take some abuse on chest day, then they get a 1 day break before getting slammed hard. The same with bi's.....they get hit on back day, get a one day break, then I slam them hard. I've been making much better arm gains this way. Thanks for the input bros!! Any more suggestions.......personal experiences?? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'd put chest /tri's together and back / bi's together. Put a leg day between so that you don't overtrain. My splits look like this: Chest / tri Back bis I always try to rotate to my weakest routine when I come off of the 2nd rest day, this effectively allows me to train my weak link twice per week. I had to go to this split because of my tore pec, too much chest / shoulder /bi / tri together really strained it. I have found that using this type of split, I am 100% recovered at all times. I would also bump your reps up into the 12 to 14 range, even if it means giving up 1 set. BPP IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Looks pretty good to me..but I would switch some of the excercises around. Just a thought would be: Alternate between DB's and BB's on chest day. For your back, throw out one of the pulldown movements and replace them with wide grip weighted chins.... I would ditch the kickbacks for your tri's in place of skullcrushers..you really cant go real heavy with kickbacks.. I would add 90degree preacher curls both DB and BB on arm day. Other than that, I say if its working all is well. Good move though knocking out the iso movements, you really dont need those while bulking.. Good Luck Bro, IP: Logged |
