![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm sure everyone knows by now that I am having some blood pressure concerns on my current cycle. I went to the doctor today and my reading was 168/100. We discussed in great detail what I'm taking....when, why, how, for how long. He suggested starting with a mild herbal diuretic to lose some of the water retention. If that's not enough, he said he will write a script for a more potent diuretic. He earned major respect from me when he said that he would keep me away from a script beta-blocker unless there was no other choice.........because he doesn't want to do anything to hinder my gains or my workouts!!! Overall it was a very pleasant visit....and he expressed how impressed he was with my knowledge of AS and how well I am taking care of myself. After a full physical, I was given a clean bill of health....he wished me good luck on my cycle, and sent me on my way after I promised to come back for a post cycle check-up to be sure everything is still going well. Why can't all doctors be this understanding? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() You will find that there are doctors out there that are intelligent enough to listen and not be so quick to judge based on what they learn in med school. Unless you have a undying devotion to your physician, switch around until you will find one that is at least non-judgmental. Believe it or not, youu may even get lucky enough to find one that will help you in other ways too. Peace IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Ok this doc is really cool, but don't give away his identity, he might not want to be known as a doc that openly approves of AS, good shit though bro,, I wish my Insurance doctor was like that. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() wow, that is excellent...very few doctors approve or would support as use- and most are so misinformed or uninformed about them...you found a needle in a haystack... IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Taking something to loose water can get (eventually) your blood pressure down with a point, but you need more. You really should by a blood pressure meter (like I did). You can messure your BP whenever you want. Then you will know for sure what is happening. If the doctor does not want to interfere with your gains (????) I personally think 'wrong idea'. He should interfere right now, he does not, so buy a BP meter and take care of it yourself. (You will live longer). The max BP for any living person, no mather what age is set worldwide, and this comes from the USA, so also here in Belgium is 90 over 140. You should try not to eat meat, give it a try for about 5 or 6 weeks, eat fish but only half of what your used to and see what happens. My BP was 110 over 160 and I did what I am telling you. Now he is 68 over 123. I eat a lot of bowled eggs, less salt than in meat or fish. Your doctor gives you courrage, but you need help. Jeff IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() make sure he/she is an MD who went to an accredited college . Most MDs with any smarts would not recommend a non FDA approved herbal product that proposes to diurese. It does sound like you need a diuretic though if you are retaining enough water for him to make the observation. Go with the prescription diuretic and dont fuck around. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I disagree with Jeff and Rip.....my doctor doesn't want to put yet another drug into my system that will hinder the gains made while on AS if it isn't needed. His logic is that if he gives me a drug that inhibits growth, why use AS at all? It becomes self defeating......all the stress with no positive. We can control the BP and at least reap some benefit from what I'm putting my body through. It seems to me that both of you are plagued by the "more is better" theory. If I make good gains on 750mg of sust per week, I should jump to 2000mg per week. I can't seem to preach this enough......bodybuilding is the art of finding balance. Balance can be found in moderation, and increasing as needed. I didn't bench 315 my first day in the gym......I worked up to that. I didn't start with 1000mg of sust.....I worked up to that. The same school of thought applies to controlling BP.....and can be applied to everything in your life. And to clear another misconception.....my doctor graduated in the top 1% of his class from a school held in very high regard around the world. My family has known him for many years.....his practice is located next to one of the dental offices owned by my family. Let's try to keep an open mind.....viewing life through a straw limits what we can attain. There is no "one size fits all". IP: Logged |
