There was a post on the chat board about this, but I wanted to see what you guys thought this was interesting. Anyway Tony atlas had a show on mtv the other day and blamed all his troubles on Juice. I just tossed in the Lyle thing for a debate. He(Tony Atlas) is a disgrace for not admitting it was crack instead of juice that broke him. He is just like Lyle Alzedo(spelling) he died of crack also(butty crack), but he blamed in on juice use. A rumor has it he was gay and had aids. I also heard they tracked it back to his Human growth use. The brain cancer that he got was the same that a 19year old dead guy died of that they pulled the HGH out of and gave to Lyle. The kid died in a car crash, but was later discovered that he had cancer of the brain also. Remeber they used to pull the HGH out of dead young people and give to the BB's. IP: Logged |

Man I would think that Lyle's least worried would have been his As use. Think about all the other drugs he must have done. Heroin was a big thing when he was in the money. He just decided to speak out against steroid use to get his face back out into the media to earn a buck or two. Kinda hard for him to say he was a washed up crack whore that needed money. As for Tony, again his lifestyle was much different than he projected. Its a sad thing to say, but it is common for body builders to do just about anything to afford their gear. Before they made what little bit of money that they can, I'm sure alot of them, took it up the ---. If you've been involved in the sport at top levels you also know that most pro's are really hooked on pain meds. Like any other drug, you eventually get accustomed to it and search out other things. Crack / cocaine might have given him that relief. Pretty stupid if you ask me. I guess thats why I choose a different way to make a living. BPP IP: Logged |

HGH makes EVERYTHING in your body grow. My theory about Lyle is that he had an existing cancer in his body and then the GH caused it to grow fast and large....that sems to make sense. As far as Tony Atlas, I think that most normal, psychologically sound people can handle their lives after coming off juice. I think people use roids as a scapegoat for much more complicated mental problems they may have. Then again, this is just what I think. IP: Logged |

Pro BB is a chemistry competition. A lot of the guys do things like gay prostitution or whatever in order to pay for their drugs. GH and IGF-1 plus lots of test - you're looking at sometimes $60,000 a year.

Tony lives in the town next to mine..owns the gym I lift at also. Thing about Tony is that he was also a manic depressive...and gear and weed just exacerbated his condition. Also..he blew most of his earnings from the WWF..so he has little to fall back on. As for Lyle...people forget he was using HGH extracted from Cadavers...not engineered HGH where they don't have to worry about contamination. It took Lyles death for the medical world to realize how dangerous extracted HGH really was. IP: Logged |

hey popeye...it was not a preexisting condition...it's called Jacob Cruzfeltd disease and it's where the extracted HGH was contaminated with this bacteria. They used to extract HGH from cadavers. Thankfully, Genetech learned to produce it naturally. Once this Jacob-Cruzfeltd reached his nervous system and brains..the juice probably helped it replicate. IP: Logged |

I have had the ugly pleasure in my life of cutting on a dead person and till this day it bother me a little. Just knowing about this makes it realy hard to believe anyone would want to use something from a dead body!!! Crazy shit - once your gone it doesn't take long for the body to go to crap I guess thats why they call it gross anatomy. IP: Logged |

From what I remember Alzedo died from a brain lymphoma, which has to my knowledge never been correlated with steroid use. This can be associated with GH use, but also HIV. Cruezfeldt-Jakobs disease is a prion associated disease (closely related to the other spongiform encephalopathies, like Mad Cow disease), not bacterial; and it is associated with brain degeneration, not lymphomas.
