![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() THe only time I can hit the gym is around 730pm. I get home about 9pm dead tired. I must got to bed then because of my work schedule. If i have a MRP at 9pm and then sleep, does it go right to my gut? Seems to me like it is. Help out here. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() contrary to what you may have heard, it does not go to your gut. It may feel like that, especially if your MRP contains casein, but in reality, since your body is in somewhat an anabolic state from the workout, it will assililate most of the nutrients that you consume post-workout. If you feel like you are stuffed after drinking your MRP, check to see what it contains. You may want to switch to just BCAA and whey protein instead to eliminate that feeling of fullness. ![]() ![]() ![]() You need carbs and protein post workout to replenish glycogen stores and to start the muscle rebuilding process, no matter what time it is. Unless you are taking in 100+ grams of carbs, most of them will get converted to muscle glycogen rather than body fat. IP: Logged |
