I am wondering about the "probability" of a few things...

I want to stop orals and do injectibles badly, but i worry about the little things that many people assume is known, but Im sure many dont know...

For instance: How likely is it to hit a nerve? From what I understand, the sciatic (sp?) nerve is in the glute, and hitting it is really fucking painful and sudden?

Im also curious about getting into a vein: i know to pull back and if there is blood try a different site.. what percentage would be the average for having to reinject?

Also, when people on this board refer to a "gusher", how much blood are we really talking - pull back the needle and get a stream?

Anyway, sorry for the elementary questions, but I have been lurking, researching and posting and havent come up with good answers to those... hope this will help other new injectors too

Thanks

Check out my injection tutorial. It will show you where to inject to avoid injecting in or around a nerve.

If you pull back and find that you are in a vein, then pull out and re-inject in the same approximate area. You have a relatively low chance of hitting one in the glute.

Some people bleed a little and some have a tiny stream of blood gush out, but that shouldn't happen because you should immediately cover to injection site (after you pull the needle out) and cover it with a clean tissue and massage the area for about 5 minutes to help disperse the juice.

look at 2Thick's site, it will help, hitting the siatic nerve is kinda rare, it is easy to avoid it...a tiny bit of blood could come out, but if you go through a vein(hey it happens), you might get a slight stream(nothing huge)..you will be fine bro, Iloved my first injection..I actaully like to shoot myself..

Missing the siatic nerve is cake bro, and eventually you will get "favorite spots" on each glute, I know it sounds silly but its true, the hard part is just reaching the damn thing.

DONT MOVE THE NEEDLE AROUND ALOT!! after insertion, this will cause small tearing...and will bring more bleeding than normal..but even that in itself is not that much at all. Keeping it still will usually result in just a small spot of blood..nothing more.

If you hit a vein, no big deal. It shouldnt bleed that bad, and the reinsertion is just as easy and painless as the first (providing your not using a 14g needle)

Dont sweat it bro, the anticipation is usually the worst part of anything, and rings true for injections.
