OKAY: Today's the second time in the past week that I've seen a big-ass bro training back and chest at the same time. Both dudes were alternating- going from a bench press to chinups then from flyes to pull downs. Is this a good idea?? What could their training splits look like??? To me it seems like too much for one workout. What are your opinions on this? Is it good for building size or just toning? Does anyone approve or disaprove?? All coments welcome. IP: Logged |

ive done it before if i miss one or the other. just superset everything. hell of a pump. i can wreck both pretty thoroughly even if i am rushing. not bad once in a while, i prefer to take my time though on each, give each its own day. but if time constraints are there, why not? IP: Logged |

It doesn't work for me. I need to give each bodypart its own day to really give it the ass-beating it deserves. Matt IP: Logged |

It works well when you give yourself a day's rest after the workout. Most of the time it is not recommended to work 2 body parts per workout when: 1. You are not on a cycle Jon ------------------ IP: Logged |

I trained this way in the beginning and it was great to get defined and cut. Maybe they are trying to do the same. While one body part is resting, the other body part is pumping it out! I miss that, but it's easier to do when you are working out alone. IP: Logged |

I read about this in M&F I think. They called it a "push/pull" type theory thing. I dont think its a bad idea, just to change things up every once in a while. IP: Logged |

it takes alot out of you...i do it if i miss a workout to catch up, but i have to be in a certain mood...i tried it as part of my split, but i almost threw up everytime...it is a hell of a pump and youll burn alot of calories, it also works your shoulders good at the same time IP: Logged |

I don't believe you can really give either muscle a hard enough workout doing them together. I prefer to do 1 muscle group a day. IP: Logged |

This is called an antagonistic superset...working the muscle at the opposite side of the other muscle...bis and tris...thighs and hams...I do these when I am pressed for time...they work great ...just rest a minute or so between supersets. IP: Logged |
