![]() ![]() ![]() someone out here got to a actual player on stage, and know the feeling of mis- timing a show, knowing if you hit your peak, you will be right there in the money, I hate dieting for 1 show, 2 shows are a better bet! that's a lot dieting just for a trophy, 1st or failure to me, 1 show timing sucks, plus the fears & failure""-------------later bro's--samson p.s sometime's it's the point of insanity!!!!!!!! isn't it???? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() with ya bro just did my first show place 2nd in a tough class but overdieted and was way to cut and lost some mass. learned from my mistake and will fill back up look hopefully as cut but much fuller and compete on may 27th. As far as failure and having friends and family present i had lots of friends and gym memberes there which added more pressure but if you look good and think you belong on stage having folk yell your names helps relax ya and may even bring a smile to your face. go in at your best and do your best and thats all you should ever expect of yourself. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I just can't compete in front of family & friends. I do have this suggestion, if they offer a video or pictures of the show, buy them. It will help you tremendously in the future by seeing where you need help and how much improvement you have made. Good luck. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I've said this many a time before to friends. Bodybuilding is a "subjective" sport, more so than even the Miss America pagent or any other contest. Just because you don't get a trophy doesn't mean you are not a winner. All it means is that you did not have the physique the judges were looking for that day. Judging is so screwed up in the NPC (as evident at the last show I attended), that you do not know how you will place even if you look your best and that best is 2%bf and perfect symmetry (Flexed1). What can I say? Compete for the sake of showing how far one can take the human body if given the discipline and desire. I have done shows where I have won and only to come back to the next one and suck big time. Hang in there. Peace IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() If your in the best shape you can be and did the best you can do, your a winner, a guy at my first show in the masters division who competed 20 times told me that at my first show, and he's right. Besides if you don't belong there at all your buddies should be telling you. I placed third twice, and the year before I would of won the overall in the same show. you never know who will show up. Be your best Will IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() FAILURE!!! Were you up on that stage? Then you didn't fail. You newbies to competing have to understand that it takes along time to learn your body!!!! That is the fun of it. If everyone hit their peak their first show, wouldn't that make the sport a little easier? This is one of the hardest sports out there. Tough on the mind and body. There are alot of people in the crowd that can say shit like: he's holding water and he needs to improve this or that, but the bottom line is that THEY ARE NOT ON THAT STAGE< THEY WISH THEY WERE BUT ARE TOO DAMN LAZY TO DIET!!! Keep your head and get back up and do it again. IP: Logged |
