I checked my blood pressure today...it's 184/100. I naturally have high blood pressure (don't take medication). My cycle is making it worse. Is there anything I can do......or do I just monitor and keep going?

Hey bro, like you i naturally have high blood pressure. It's not as high as yours, mine usually stays around 140 over 87. It got pretty high awhile back and my doc put me on a low sodium diet.It only took about 3 weeks for it to go back down and plus i was cut all to hell from the lack of water retention. E-mail me if you need the details of the diet.I would try that first and see if it works for you. Keep me informed.

i wouldnt get worried till the diastolic? (bottom one!) gets over 110 then i would see about getting some bp meds from the doc

"white coat syndrome" is common among most people. Most peoples BP rises around 10 points when sitting and waiting to see the doc. Make sure you are comfortable and relaxed before taking your BP. You might want to invest in getting your own BP monitor. If its still high (diastolic over 110) restrict salt intake...next step...pharmacological...1st line of therapy should be an ACE inhibitor or angiotension II antagonist...

I know it wasn't the stress of a doctor making my pressure go up.....I took the measurement on my own monitor. I'm on a cycle of sust/reforvit/eq, so I really don't want to mix in BP meds. I was averaging 145/85 before I started the cycle. I'll keep watching the BP and let you know what happens.

I think you should speak to a doctor about medication. This needs to be addressed or gear could put you in a dangerous position.

what kind of monitor?
finger cuff, wrist, arm?

whoever had the diastolic 126...your poor vasculature and organs...you need to get that down ASAP or you will wish you did later in life..High BP is a silent killer.

Hey brother man, I'm a paramedic, your near a hypertensive crisis stage if thats your resting BP. Anything over 140/90 is considered too high. In the field we treat anything over 200 systolic or 110 diastolic as a medical emergency under and circumstances. Just for your own safety and peace of mind, go get a doctors opinion and be honest about any drug use even if its anabolics. they dont give a shit from a personal point of view about your personal life choices but dont expect them too cut you any slack either, you'll get the truth, but at least you'll know. BTW high BP can and will cause either a stroke or heart disease if left untreated, plus with your metabolism stable, you'll feel a hell of a lot better.

See Ya

Oh yea, do yourself a favor and dont listen to any of these street pharmacologist about how to treat your hypertension. Unless their doctors, I wouldnt let them prescribe anything, especially medications.

Bro you need to get that BP under control, mine was 168/108 and that is way too high, so much so that I felt sick from it, any one who tells you that you can't feel high BP is full of shit, I sure can. My Dr last time I was in did blood work up liver was Ok cholesterol low as hell and my PSA was all good, it was good to know cuz I just went off cycle four weeks before. Had some depression, but my BP was scarey as hell, I have high BP and have for years, so I'm on a beta blocker for life right now. 50 mg of Lopressor a day, metaprolol by real name. DON'T fuck around with this one Texas is right on this one....Please take care of your self bro, people here do care about each other...We are a family.
