Well I'm graduating from college in a week and moving out to Denver to live and work. I'm fairly familiar with the area. My father lives out there and I visit frequently. However, I've never really been able to find a great place to lift. I usually just go to a 24hr fitness, but I'm wondering if anybody from the area knows of any place with a more hardcore atmosphere. I fucking hate trying to get psyched for a lift when all you can hear is the fucking awful shit coming out the radio like Matchbox 20 or Hootie and the Blowfish. While I no longer live in the area, 24hr fitness is rather prevalent, the have been buying up clubs left and right. you may want to try Better Bodies in westminster-decently hardcore- decent amount of gear enhanced individuals. there is also a golds or worlds gym that recently opened in louisville. westminster is north west denver louisville is west of that. ------------------ IP: Logged |

I live in Arvada which is a suburb of denver and whatever you do don't go to Premier fitness center. It's the antonym of the hardcore gym. Are you going to the 24 Hour fitness by Cub Foods? I used to go there and it's 3x as hardcore as Premier if you can believe that. IP: Logged |

I work at Bally totsal fitness. It has a pretty good weight room, indoor track, pool,etc.. I see some pretty big guys go in there. My suggestion is to go during the day if you can to avoid the after work rush. All the fat people pile in at 4:30 or so. But we're open untill 11:00pm so you can go late too. E-mail me. BETTER BODIES in WESTY has my vote, when I don't lift at school, I workout there. There are some huge fuckers there and you can smell the gear from the parking lot. I saw a guy bench over 600 lbs there. (He said he was clean) (I didn't believe him) (But I did not argue) (He has the build of A. Clark) (whom he hates because he says A. Damn... good to see there are so many of you guys in the Denver area. I'll be living in Parker. In the past, I've been working out at the 24hr fitness on Quebec and County Line. Maybe we should just start our own gym! We could get George Spellwin to sponser it and do all his advertising in Denver! What do you think, George?  Hey, BigDT, we'll have to get together and talk d-line tactics. I just finished my college football career. I played d-tackle and nose tackle at the D-1 level. Well... hey bro i am down in thornton for the summer, going to school in greeley. there is a better bodies down in aurora, which is near parker, and it is bigger than the one in westy. as for the music i think most gyms suck, invest in a mp3 player or a walkman. IP: Logged |
