This is going to sound quite cliche, however this is a question in reference to my friend and not myself personally.

Apparently, he has extablished a contact who has offered to ship "free gear" to him from peru. I personally dont believe anyone would intentionally ship free "product" over seas just to establish a potential new customer. This is gear, not crack were talking about.

Given, the inherent danger of shipping "product" over seas through customs,
and given that its unsolicited gear. Should
my friend incure this responsibility?

If he does, must he always sign for the package? Your thoughts?

It should be shipped so your friend doesn't have to sign, and yes there are good srouces who will send you some free gear. This is a legitimate practice, it however of couse is also used by scammes , now they usually send you a small sample hoping that you will order more then keep all your money.

If this is who i think it is then you have nothing to worry about, email me about it
