![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I know a lot of other boards have a scammer list, but I am a bit used to this board. Every piece of info I have gotten that is worth anything I have gotten from this board. Perhaps it is time to create our own list here. Just a thought... ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Well, if I don't hear back from one dude (a member of this board with whom I've communicated frequently and to whom I sent money) within the next week, I'll be pleased to add yet another name to the list of this world's dirtbags. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() You know, Muscles2, I think if I provided more details we could very well be talking about the same guy. I shouldn't be so niave about scammers. They're everywhere and will always be, whether they're bilking little old ladies out of their life savings...or taking money for gear that doesn't exist or is fake. But they're cheaters, thieves, losers...scammers. I got a reply from that fellow, by the way (it was a wholesale transaction). It remains to be seen if he'll make amends and send my (small amount of) money back -- which he now claims he wants to do. Good for him. More than the money (which is obviously important; after all, I didn't get scammed for hundreds and hundreds like some Bro's here and can't legitimately whine), it's the loss of pride and violation of integrity that distresses me. I like good business, honest business. It's just the way things should work. The exchange of value for value. I'll say that this little incident REALLY distressed me. I simply (naively) didn't think I would be scammed by a member of this board (granted, not a regular, but a member nonetheless). I'm talking sleepless nights thinking about how I was going to track this dude (not difficult) and, well, speak my mind. And speaking one's mind in my part of the world carries a different connotation. It was a whole negatively-spiralling circle of thoughts... I hope he was just (sadly) unable to deliver, or perhaps he was over-enthusiastic or is just incompetent -- and that he'll do the right, honorable thing and return the money I sent him for something promised but not delivered.
