![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() anybody ever heard of CAP TRI. it is a medium chain triglyceride oil that goes directly into the blood stream then into the mitochondria of the cell to be used as energy. it is 120calories/tablespoon and NONE can get stored as fat it all gets used as energy. i take between 6-8 tablespoons a day . it also taste real good in oats IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Parillo has had that shit out since 1988. It's an MCT and it's a joke in the magazines that have the nads to talk shit about advertisers. No offense. I used it but I'd rather shove food in my face. I'd rather drop carbs and do EFA's. Good Luck IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() CAP TRI IS USED PRIMARILY IN THE PLACE OF OIL ON CONTEST DIETS. MCT IS A FAT, BUT IS USED MORE READILY FOR ENERGY THAN A LONG CHAIN TRIGLYC. GOOD DEAL FOR THOSE CUTTING CARBS ETC. ALSO GOOD FOR BOOSTING CALS IN A MASS DIET AS WELL. GET THE FAT, BUT USE IT INSTEAD OF STORING IT SO EASILY.IT HAS ALL THE BENEFITS OF A FAT, BUT ISNT READILY STORED AS BF AS EASILY AS LONG CHAIN TRIGLYC. AND EVEN SOME CARBS. USE IT FOR COOKING IF YOU ARE GOING TO STIR FRY OR SOMETHING. HOPE THAT HELPS. I THINK NETRITION SHOULD HAVE IT, IF THEY DONT SMACK THEM HEHE. ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() MCT's can be stored as bodyfat. It is only under very specific conditions that it is not(essentially ketosis). The Doctor IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Doc is right your body will store MCT oil or Cap tri (whatever its called)as body fat .Don't kid yourself. Your body has to be in ketosis for it not to be stored. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() In my Opinion you just bought $33 worth of oil. You might as well drink Wesson, its cheaper and your body doesnt know the difference. ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I used it when dieting for a show last june. I also was under the advice and supervision of John Parillo while getting ready. He had me eating 450 grams of protein and 4500 calories a day(including 6-8 tablespoons of cap-tri a day) To be honest with you, it didnt seem to do much for me other than give me severe stomach cramps followed by the shits! I ended up looking like shit! I did another show in August and took in around 3500 calories and eliminated the cap-tri and looked much better. However my Gym owner took in 10-13 tbsp a day of the stuff and won a national qualifier on it. I think everyone will have to experiment to see if it will work for them. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() "MCT's can be stored as bodyfat. It is only under very specific conditions that it is not(essentially ketosis)." "The Doctor" MCT's are much less likely to be stored as bodyfat, for the fact that they are fractionated by the liver into ketones. "Am J Clin Nutr 1983 Jan;37(1):1-4" "Overfeeding with medium-chain triglyceride diet results in diminished deposition of fat." Geliebter A, Torbay N, Bracco EF, Hashim SA, Van Itallie TB The study was designed to determine whether overfeeding rats with a diet containing medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) as the major fat source (45% of calories) would impede the expected gain in weight and body fat as compared to rats overfed with isocaloric amounts of diet containing long-chain triglyceride (LCT). For 6 wk rats were fed either MCT diet or LCT diet twice daily via a gastrostomy tube. MCT-fed rats gained 20% less weight (P less than 0.001) and possessed fat depots weighing 23% less (p less than 0.001) than LCT)-fed rats. Mean adipocyte size was smaller (p less than 0.005) in MCT- than in LCT-fed rats. Weights of carcass protein and water were similar for both groups as were concentrations of serum insulin and levels of physical activity. The decreased deposition of fat in the MCT-fed rats may have resulted from obligatory oxidation of MCT-derived fatty acids in the liver after being transported there via the portal vein, leaving almost no MCT derivatives for incorporation into body fat. MCT may have potential for dietary prevention of human obesity.
