I tore it on bench three days ago. I don't know how long this is gonna take to recover. Anybody had similar experiences? How long did it take. powerlifting meet is in 12 days. Any suggestions? ------------------ IP: Logged |

that fucking sucks, bro. u sounded like u were well on ur way to a monster total. i cant really say anything about torn muscles for powerlifting, but i remember yates teearing his bicep in bodybuilding, but he also had more than 12 days to prepare for the O. maybe you should just concentrate on recuperating and kick some ass next year. good luck, bro. ------------------ IP: Logged |

well, you probably have not actually torn your pec- more likely a severe pull or you would have been making a hospital visit. recovery times vary but considerably longer than 12 days- should you attempt to go back up in weight too quickly you may actually tear your pec and then look forward to surgury and 6 months of rehab- take it easy- just forget about this meet. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Well, it felt like a tear, and it sounded like one. Your probably right though macro. Im still gonna squat, and dead lift though. dead lift kinda hurts but not too bad. It is the actual state meet. I had an awesome shot at taking first too. Im hoping for a 625 squat, and a 600 dead. the squat would be a state record.I still might place in the top five without a bench. Maybe I'll just do like 225 or something. If it is a pull..which now I think it is...any of you guys have tips for me on a fast recovery? ------------------ IP: Logged |

I agree w/Macro. Forget this meet. I wouldn't deadlift either man. No single meet is worth your career. I've seen your pics and your bodybuilding potential is above average. Take a small vacation and come back BAD AS ASS! ------------------ IP: Logged |

take a break bro. I know you're all pumped up about the powerlifting meet and want to kick ass, but think about the long term effects on your pec! Is it worth it? NO, it's not. Later bro. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Don't even THINK about the comp in 12 days. You've got soooo much potential ahead of you if you just hang tight for now and blast them next year. I know a year sounds a long way away now, but think about how much stronger you will be if you keep at it! ------------------ IP: Logged |
