I am on my 5th week of Sustanon and when I did my last injection (on Sat.) I got a big knot the next day and it's sore as hell. All the other injections were sore too of course, but not like this one. The pain doesn't seem to be decreasing like the other times. I can feel a knot and it kinda spasms too. Could I possibly have gone through a vein and it just bled in there or something? It did bleed a little more than normal (no injection in vein, I always draw back). Could it be infected? I'm very sterile, unless the fluid wasn't. Or am I just over-reacting and this is just a normal occaisional side effect? Any input would be greatly appreciated guys. Thanks.

My best guess is that it's nothing to worry about. You can't help but build up some scar tissue when you start using the same areas over and over. I assume you mean that you mean that you can feel "Lumps" of harder tissue under your skin, right? Over time they will stop being sore, just stay away from that spot for a while. It will go away but when you hit that spot again it may come back. It is not a good idea to force the pin into one of these. If anything ever becomes an open type sore or turns very red, like "Bullseye" then you should see doctor . I believe what you have will be gone in a few weeks. It will get smaller and smaller until it's gone.

If you don't have fever you don't need to worry about infection...

I alternate ass cheeks each week. I guess the scar tissue thing makes sense. I don't have a fever. And no red spots, like I said, I'm extremely sterile. Cool, thanks for the info.

If there is no redness, then it is probably not an infection.

You probably injected through or near a nerve. They tend to swell and stay sore for many days after you inject through or near them.

I agree with 2thick. I am ,or was a paramedic.I changed my field recently.
I to experianced this myself. The three main nerves Femoral,Common peroneal, and Tibial are the only ones you realy need to be concerned with. And believe me brother if you hit one of those you would know(comon peroneal and tibial consist of your sciatic nerve) .These run of your central N.S and down your glutes into your posterior.I would recommend heat and elevation. But I am NOT a doctor so please except this as advice only.
Good luck and try to relax.
