Hey guys I have a friend that will not push himself in the gym unless he is on cycle. His lifts suffer because of this too I have tried to convince him that diet and proper work habits will give him gains but I don't feel he understands or has the discipline to get gains without gear. I enjoy the huge gains on cycle just as much as the next guy but I do see gains without it if I keep all my i's dotted and t's crossed. I hope that people are pushing themselves even harder off cycle than on because its the weights and the strain that make you huge not the gear! I hope I can get throught to him and he will regain motivation to lift but this is just a warning for everyone don't get too into gear and keep it real you can get along way without it. It is meant to be used as a tool not a crutch!!!! My thoughts, Good luck to everyone

I'll second that opinion. You gotta lift and continue to eat well to keep what you earned while on.

Bump.

True, that's the problem with people who've never worked out before they juice.
1) Never get off the cycle
2) Never workout without it

Stupid humans!

Hey bros that is true, I am 38, been lifting for nearly 16years, made great gains. This year was the first time I ever juiced. Before I juiced I was a solid 233lbs and now I am off a cycle and I weigh 243lbs. You gotta keep working out especially after a cycle if you plan to keep what you gained.

Success is determined more by establishing a good regiment that includes disciplines in nutrition and training. AS is just the icing on the cake, but if you don't have the drive to "make the cake" first, the "icing" won't help much.

Push yourself even harder when off cycle?
Yeah and throw a diet in with a big calorie deficit too huh?
I'll assume you to mean heavier weights, higher intensity and longer workouts with a full week of lifting.
Whether you like it or not, catabolism will be on the rampage after a cycle. Heavier more intense frequent workouts will greatly assist the post cycle catabolic effect.
Psychological addiction: This type of problem can be compared to that of obtaining a tan. Once one sees himself to look much better with the darker skin, he realizes
he must continue his exposure to the UV rays. If he can't pyschologically adapt to his former pale condition, he is destined for the continual photo-aging of his skin until something breaks this pattern. He then will be forced to except
or re-evaluate what is relevant to his existance. The hard core fact for the pale man is; The light is what darkened him.
FACT: Roids are very psychologically addictive! Take them away and watch the inevitable atrophy of muscle tissue cause a level of depression that will destroy motivation in many areas of life. This holds true especially for the aging man.
To be the big admired/deired sex machine becomes, not just a thing one does but what one IS.

Your friend must be in touch with reality. So it is a much harder blow to his psyc..
I love juice, But I will NOT deny myself of the truth.

It's one of those things isn't it, why wait longer when you can have something sooner. Of course having been training for 4 years I know the same as most of you do that you can get gains by pushing yourself correctly, however most youngsters don't realise that and therefore they hit the juice straight away. More guidance needs to be given to those who are just starting to train, we know that whenever anyone refers to juice they make it sound like take it and a couple of days later you are twice the size, which is why so many people are eager to take it without training first.
