just a thought here, but who gives a damn about your poundages(unless you are a powerlifter).. Most of us here are body builders, we lift to make ourselves bigger, leaner, stronger, etc. We want to look good in our eyes and the eyes of others. Shit, if i had a 65" chest and could only bench 315 i wouldn't give a shit! Point is, lets post some pics to do the bragging, thats the only true way! IP: Logged |

Stronger??? I think if you were concerned about strength then you would be concerned about poundages. Sorry to say but your post above is very hypocritical. Sorry to hear that you are weak, and lack sports performance. -Good Day IP: Logged |

I'm more concerned with the body that I want, than the weight I'm pressing. Dont get me wrong, I like nice poundages cause it's an ego thing for me, but if I'm over 200lbs and at 9-10%bf after my cycle, I dont care what my poundages are cause I reached my goal and I know I'll be looking nice. ------------------ IP: Logged |

maybe if you cared about poundages you'de be looking at 300 instead of 200... DRRman, you are ignorant to the OL community I take it. IP: Logged |

What u lift should be propotionate to your size. As far as bodybulding is concerned size and physique are what count not how much u can bench or squat!!! IP: Logged |

Yeah I hear you. Although if you've built a large, well proportioned physique, chances are your no slouch with the weights. You have to have a considerable amount of strength to gain size. IP: Logged |

Yeah, big weight=big muscles.. but I hear what some of you are saying. I see lots of guys running around in my gym bragging that they benched this, benched that. Some fat dude in a bench shirt was screaming like a madman in the gym and later told me that he just benched 365 (back was like a half-moon and bounced off his chest shaking the entire time.. pretty funny). I just nodded, but in my mind I thought... who cares if you did, you don't look like you could. Now he may have been some sort of a powerlifter- and had differnt goals than what I did... But I think we're all pushing for more weight in the gym- we'd be stupid not to. Some of us would choose size over weight, others weight over size. I think we just get sick of the lil jokesters in the gym bragging about their new found record in the bench or whatever. Just be humble fellas, and do your thing! IP: Logged |
