I am going on a cruise this summer to cozumel. Does anyone know if they will search me or not when I board the ship or return to the U.S.? Thanks for any help!

No one will give a shit what you do until you get off the boat back at the states, and have to clear customs.. Its usually not to bad on a cruise ship.. if you empty amps into a bottle you will have no probs.

I went on a cruise and they didnt search me at all i went to cozumel also
so i would guess it is pretty safe but that was like 2 years ago, they might search you now, and if they did i dont think it would be anything serious you can go on shore and back as many times as you want so you could just keep going back and forth and use the "under the sack trick"

Honestly, the fuckin boat people dont know what say.. an amp of sust is.. Obviously Don't be overt, I have been on a couple of cruises, my mom even bought some tylenol with codine, brought it back in her purse. Bring shit onto the boat in bag inside a bag and your fine. I never saw Customs do a body search for people getting off a boat, but I bet they do check bags randomly.. so dont fill the suitcase with amps and pills.

I have been on a few cruises and they never ever search you when you get back on the boat. I never had to go through customs when returning though. It depends on the port that you are coming through. All of my cruises left from Ft Lauderdale and there is obviously no customs there. So where are you docking???

I've been on cruises too and never been fucked with. I never brought any gear back, but no one was really given a hard time.

I wouldn't overnight it to yourself, because then someone else will have to sign for it. Don't mail it either - same reason.

It's easy enough to hide on a cruise.

Custom does checks when you leave the luggage out on the last night.They x-ray you coming back onto the ship,so put pins down your pants.I had two bags FULL of gear and walked right back on Punch out tabs and put licks in a saline eye drop bottle!!!
