![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A couple people asked about Thyroid hormones on a couple of threads so I thought Id post a new topic on them so they dont miss the reply. Ok, they arent as risky to use as is sometimes said, but they have to be used correctly. I perfer T3 (Cytomel, or Cynomel in mexico) to T4 (Synthroid). Clinically, they are used to treat people with hypothyroidism or people who have their thyroids removed. T3 converts to T4 in the liver, so people who have no problem with the conversion (99% of us) would be prescribed T3. People who have had their Thyroid gland removed are given T4, since they cant make the conversion. For US, T3 increases the metabolism and helps burn fat. It also burns protien and carbs, so you need to keep them all up. Ideally, you would use an anabolic with it to preserve muscle mass. Monster IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm assuming the bit about conversion was a typo; it's t-4 that gets converted to t-3 in the liver, not vice versa. I prefer t-3 as well, but I do it in a diamond pattern over a three week period. I start at 25 mcg, take it to 50 after 4 days, then to 75 after 4 days; then I work back down the same way. I do this at the beginning and the very end of my cycle. I've never gone above 75 mcg; I just get too hot. Your method of 75/day w/ weekends off should work fine; I would just find it too uncomfortable to do for more than one week. IP: Logged |
