this may sound dumb to some of you but the search ain't worken so I thought I would ask. what the hell is lasix and what does it do?

Hey bro LASIX is a diuretic..... Description: Lasix is a sulfonamide-type loop diuretic used in the management of edema associated with congestive heart failure, cirrhosis, and renal disease, including the nephrotic syndrome. Other uses include mild to moderate hypertension and as an adjunct in hypertensive crisis and acute pulmonary edema. Furosemide is also useful in treating hypercalcemia, although it is not FDA approved for this indication. Furosemide is especially effective in managing edema associated with congestive heart failure, and it may be particularly useful in patients who are unresponsive to other diuretics or who have severe renal impairment. lasix is a diuretic...it also depletes potassium stores....soooo, if you take it to cut out water....shred up, you must be careful to supplement potasssium with it....there was a bodybuilder a few years ago who died cause he took high doses of it for a week without drinking water with it...he won his show & died hours later....so be careful...
