msg Amateur Bodybuilder (Total posts: 40)	posted May 03, 2000 12:18 AM Salbutamol produces bronchodilation through stimulation of B2-adrenergic receptors in bronchial smooth muscle, thereby causing relaxation of muscle fibers. This action results in increased pulmonary function as demonstrated by spirometric measurements. The onset of improvement in pulmonary function is usually observed 5 to 15 minutes after inhalation of salbutamol as measured by both maximal midexpiratory flow rate (MMEF) and forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1). Near maximum improvement in pulmonary function usually occurs within 60 to 90 minutes after 2 inhalations of salbutamol and significant bronchodilation and improvement clinically has been observed for 3 to 4 hours in most patients. In clinical trials, some patients with asthma showed a therapeutic response (defined by maintaining FEV1 values 15% or more above baseline) which was still apparent at 6 hours. IP: Logged

Injection: Each mL of colorless or faintly straw-colored, sterile, isotonic solution contains: salbutamol 0.5 mg as salbutamol sulfate. Adjusted to pH 3.5 with sulfuric acid and/or sodium hydroxide. Ampuls of 1 mL or 5ml. also can be ought in an inhaler: Adults: 100 or 200 micrograms up to four times daily. Each metered inhalation provides Salbutamol IP 100 mcg Suspended in inert Aerosol Propellants q.s. Each can contains: Salbutamol IP 20 mg (Appropriate overages added) also avail as a tablet: 2 mg: Each pink, round tablet with flat beveled edges, scored and imprinted N2 on one side contains: salbutamol sulfate 2.4 mg (equivalent to 2 mg salbutamol). Bottles of 100, 500 and 1 000. Unit dose strips of 100. 4 mg: Each pink, round tablet with flat beveled edges, scored and imprinted N4 on one side contains: salbutamol sulfate 4.8 mg (equivalent to 4 mg salbutamol). Bottles of 100, 500 and 1 000. Unit dose strips of 100. also known as volmax in other strengths: VOLMAX tablets must be swallowed whole with a glass of water and not chewed or crushed. One 8 mg tablet twice daily or two 4 mg tablets twice daily. As there may be adverse effects associated with excessive dosing, the dosage or frequency of administration should only be increased on medical advice. IP: Logged

msg Amateur Bodybuilder (Total posts: 40)	posted May 03, 2000 11:00 PM the main difference is that salbutamol is much more selective for the b-2 adrenergic receptors in the lungs, while clen exhibits most of it's effects on the stimulation of BOTH type 2 and 3 beta receptors. these beta-3 receptors increases insulin secretion and sensitivity, causing more glucose and amino acids to be transported into skeletal muscle thus causing the anabolic effects, HOWEVER, humans have either very little or no beta-3 receptors. hence,i would say that they are very similar in their stimulations however i am not aware of the exact results of one verses the other for "our" purposes.
