Hi all, I know Will Brink has an awesome article and a wealth of info on hair loss. But he never makes any mention to Propecia. I am going to be on a cycle of sus, deca, and dbol but would like to keep my losses down. I saw a past post for someone not on gear saying "I would recomend 1 tabl of Propecia (finasteride 1mg) a day and wash your hair with Nizoral (ketoconazol). After couple of months you should notice the difference." Anyone know if taking Propecia will elevate estrogen levels like any 5Ar inhibitors such as Proscar would I've heard great things about Propecia but its not worth gyno! Any help! IP: Logged |

This topic is currently being discussed in the post "primo and hairloss". You should take a look at it if you haven't. Now, you are sort of in the same boat that I was in when I did my first cycle. I was stacking deca with omnadren and was trying to decide whether or not it would be better to keep taking propecia or to stop it during the cycle. I decided on discontinuing treatment with propecia because the amount of deca I was taking and the duration was greater than the test. As mentioned in the primo post, deca and propecia do not mix well. I'm not sure how much of each drug you are planning on doing, and you have the additional consideration of the dbol that I didn't have, so it is hard to say what to do here. As far as gyno goes, if you can get it from propecia then you are very susceptible and your main concern should be with the introduction of exogenous aromatizing androgens into your system, like the test and dbol. Thanks for the reply I actually took a look at that post and don't know how I missed the info on Propecia. Also I think you may have misunderstood me when mentioning gyno. I haven't started my cycle yet, likely will next week. My concern was does propecia like other 5ar inhibitors elevate estrogen levels? The only reason is on my first cycle 2yrs back, I listened to the advice of fools because I did not know about this site. They had me taking dbol and enanthate with 2 mil estrogen. Of course trusting these clowns that were apparent friends I started seeing signs of gyno. They said it was in my head and actually told me to up the injections. I didn't and then found this site and noticed on the vial the 2ml estrogen. I quickly switched off that and finished my cycle off. Now for this next cycle that I'm starting next week I will be closely watching the gyno to see if it comes back. I just don't want to take anything that might elevate estrogen levels on top of the risk I'm taking with the dbol and sus. Sorry if this is confusing as shit. Obviously I wont take the propecia is doesn't go well with the deca but what about using Propecia at all would it be wise with my past gyno? IP: Logged |

Let me get this right. Your gyno went away? By itself or did you have surgery? I did understand you bro, but perhaps I didn't elaborate enough. Propecia works by inhibiting the 5AR enzyme which converts testosterone to DHT. So, when on propecia, less test is converted to DHT and therefore more is available to be converted to estrogen. That is how propecia can cause gyno. Now, if you start taking exogenous test with propecia, again less will be converted to DHT and more will be available to be converted to estrogen. But it should be limited by the aromatase enzyme. I'm not sure whether your body would upregulate enzyme production if there is more substrate (test) to react with. I bet Macro or E2 would know. If it does, then propecia could conceivably add to the formation of gyno. If not, then it shouldn't have much of an effect on whether or not you get gyno. In either case, it is probably a matter of degree to some extent. In short, I don't think I have the answer you're looking for, but I hope it helped some. IP: Logged |

Oh yeah. Keep the nolvadex on hand. Or better yet, if you can afford it and find it, get some arimidex and the gyno should become a moot point. IP: Logged |
