Can someone help me with this?? BigPappa posted that it helps women with the "cottage cheese" thing. Can anyone give me more info on this. As much as you possibly can and who out there has used it? What results did you get? I did use the search and it did not give me the kind of info I was looking for. I have seen the name on the board before, but have just passed over it. Help here please.

hey bro all you have to do is do a search
there is plenty of info for you to find ...
but besides that nolvadex is used when we finish taking a cycle it helps with testosterone ..so it doesnt plumet....but clomid is better ...thats what i know

Nolvadex is a brand name for the drug tamoxifen citrate, a nonsteroidal agent which demonstrates potent antiestrogenic properties. These antiestrogenic effects are due to its ability to compete with estrogen for binding sites in target tissues such as in the breast. Medically, the effects of this drug make it very useful in breast cancer patients. Male bodybuilders however, find this drug very effective in combating gynocomastia (female breast tissue development). Gynocomastia is caused by excess estrogen in the male body. In the steroid user, this happens when anabolic steroids "aromatize" into estrogens. This is not as odd as you may think, structurally these hormones are very similar. So with Nolvadex competing for and occupying estrogen receptors, the buildup of tissue is greatly reduced and often avoided. It should be noted that Nolvadex also seems to slightly reduce to gains made during a steroid cycle. Some believe estrogen plays a role in keeping androgen receptors open. This may explain why Nolvadex would slightly hinder gains. Regardless of this effect Nolvadex is the most popular anti-estrogen used by athletes and many people swear by it. One should remember though that many athletes find no need for Nolvadex while others absolutely need it to avoid a gyno problem. One should be aware of how much they actually need an ancillary drug like this before committing to use it during a cycle. Should it be needed, Nolvadex is quite popular on the black market.

Nolvadex decreases your estrogen levels. From what I understand if women take Nolvadex then their estrogen levels decrease which causes their body fat to decrease. This is because estrogen is responsible for the storage of fat cells.

I don't know how well it works. But yes Nolvadex is supposed to help women lose body fat by reducing their estrogen levels.

I'm a chick that's used Nolvadex pre-comp to get that extra edge. It works very well in several ways. By reducing estrogen levels it helps to get rid of the last of the fat on the thighs. It also helps reduce any tendency we women have to retain fluid under the skin. And lastly (but not leastly) Nolvadex use results in temporary cessation of menstration which means there will be no surprises on show day! I started using Nolvadex 6 weeks before my first competition at 10mg twice a day.

I know about Nolva when men use it, but yeah, I'm interested in the side effects for women. My gf is wanting to take something to help with her progress. She could expect to loose fat then by taking Nolva, I gather? How long of a cycle for it? Lastly, what about it's interactions with other drugs, mainly birth control? Thanks.

Side effects are minimal. There is often a loss of your 'period'. Don't know if I would trust mixing it with birth control pills (especially if the pills have estrogen in them). Occassionally a women may experience irreversible menopause while using Nolvadex, but this is more likely to happen in 'older' women (late 30's-early 40's). Shrinkage of breasts is not a big problem for most women unless they happen to be going down to very low %bf. But then those luscious gems are gonna shrink no matter what you do if you diet down lean enough.

Cost is a bigger issue. They can run anywhere from $70-100 for 100 x 10mg tabs which works out at around $2 per day for most women. They're not too difficult to get from overseas pharmacies, plus I don't think they're particualrly illegal to import. You could always go to a GP and spin a tale about how rampant breast cancer runs in your family and ask to be put on preventative Nolvadex. Might even get on health insurance using this method!

Nobody has mentioned that in the last two years they have come out with studies that show nolva is extremly damagining to your GI tract. Causing you to have stomach ulcers and all kinds of shit. That is why some people notice bad heartburn when on it. Although it is an anti cancer drug, it has now been shown to cause cancer in non cancer patience over an extended period of use. Not my choice of drug. For guys I would suggest using PROVIRAN it is an anti e and high in androgens so no BT's and good hard gains. For women ? sorry no alternatives that i can think of.

Oh Yeah. There is a very slight increase in cancer risk. It really is small, and compared to most A/S use it is laughable to worry about the risks of using Nolvadex while on a cycle! Remember guys and gals that Nolvadex is a hormone analogue (it mimics estrogen at some estrogen receptors). Any time you mess around with your hormone balance there are always gonna be potential repercusions. For both sexes the best advice is to keep the cycles short and don't use hormones too often. Doesn't matter if it's Sus250 or Nolvadex or birth control pills!

Built Raging Bull? Well maybe if I were to invest in some implants! With or without Nolvadex I've never been particularly well endowed with large breasts (or calves-sigh). I'll just be thankful for the other bits that are better endowed.

Mad Scientist, thanks for all your much needed info!!!! I do need to know what is the daily (or weekly) dosage and for how long do you continue this dosage. I really am dying to know more.

BTW, I did not know the origins of the motto I adopted and I do not adopt Neitzsche's philosophies. Someone told me this saying when I was going through one of the hardest times in my life and it has stuck with me and got me through a lot of things.

To be perfectly honest and transparent, I stick more to the teachings found in Phillipians 4:13. Give it a look.
