I have watched this contest's progress for a couple of years now and i keep asking myself...How are these guys putting on 30+ pounds of lean muscle in 12 weeks without the use of AS? I can see the truth in the fat los after three months of marine corps boot camp, but what about all that muscle?....MODS, give me some feeback. Im not looking for the usual well they must of used them and just got away with it, i want to here some good theroies on how this is possible or not.. ------------------ IP: Logged |

I think, it's "muscle memory" dudes that used to be big into workout then stop and started again..... Can someone back my theory up? IP: Logged |

Who said they don't use AS? Where was that written? In the drug test they take AFTER the contest is over? I've never seen them say anything that anyone was steroid free. Because, in my opinion, those guys who make those drastic changes aren't just taking PhosphagenHP. IP: Logged |

These people that lose 30 pounds of fat, gain 12 pounds of muscle go from a beer belly to an 8-pack in 12 weeks and some of whom are 60 years old....it really encouarages me. I'm doing my own BFL challenge- trying to turn a flabby 180 into a hard 190. I plan on going down to about 170-175 and then sticking some Deca and Test up my ass though, so I guess I'm disqualified ;-) IP: Logged |

It is that way in the entire industry... Every supplement company wants you to beleive that this guy got huge from using THEIR OTC product... what a fu*king lie. just my 2 cents.. ------------------ IP: Logged |

I,ve been lifting for 13 years and I think those contest winners on Body for Life are full of juice. I've tried everything from Mentzer's Heavy Duty training to cybergenics. I've been consistent in my training and nutrition for years, and even during rugby season when I was running for hours, three days a week and lifting, I never got as ripped as these fat guys did on their 8 to 12 week programs. Bill phillips' program is bullshit, but hey as long as it inspires some people to get in shape. IP: Logged |

Yeah, I've got the tape LOL. My favorite is Anthony Ellis, the black guy from NY that went from a "98lb weakling" to gaining 32 pounds of muscle in 12 weeks. And then they had the "big test" and Bill brought them in to "grill them" about failing the lie detector and of course Anthony was one of them. NO SHIT! (of course they were clean) LOL But in reality, I would compare it to something you would see on Judge Wapner. Quite anecdotal. deltman ------------------ IP: Logged |

I have tried the challenge. If you follow it you can lose weight and also will cut you up but, you will not gain 30lbs. of mass without some gear. Look at Bill he is full of gear along with all the other winners! IP: Logged |

I think the contest is legit. Most of the contestants lost a lot of fat which makes a huge difference in your physique. If you take an out of shape fat ass who has eaten shit and watched TV for 20 years and then put them on strict weight training routine with phosphagen hp and 3 myoplexes a day, the change will be very dramatic. I've got a friend who cleaned up his diet, worked out and took Xenadrine and Thyrolean and lost 35 lbs in 3 months. Its impossible for an experienced bodybuilder to gain 15-20 lbs of muscle in 12 weeks without drugs, but someone who goes from one extreme to another can do it naturally. DC IP: Logged |

when I was working as a personal trainer, I helped a 50 year old woman on her body for life program. She lost a lot of weight, 40lbs to be exact, and she gained around 9 lbs of lean muscle. She improved drastically, but not to look like those winners did. I had her busting ass twice a day on cardio (sessions short and intense) and weights. Her diet was extraordinarily good. She probably ate better than most of the pro bodybuilders, but still nowhere near the results the winners had. I wanted to tell you this, because this woman had an exceptional nutrition and supplement plan, a healthy exercise and weight conditioning program, and a personal trainer everyday...still not the results of the winners. Draw your own conclusions. IP: Logged |

I don't begrudge Bill Phillips for changing the direction and focus of his company, but what made me finally drop the mm2k subscription was that god-forsaken video. I could't watch it all the way through. If I saw one more tearry eyed, recovering from life threatening disease, "I was about to bullet in my head til I got on the Body of Life program" I would have puked. IP: Logged |

ok , ok, so there is a consensus that this type of growth is immprobable with out AS. So anyone have any science backes numbers on just how much lean muscle one can gain in 12 weeks without AS? ------------------ IP: Logged |

I've been working out 11 yearts consistently now and yeah you can lean up in 12 weeks or so but there is no possible way you can gain the kind of quality muscle that it show in the pictures without AS. I've tried practically every supplement on the market and i don't waste my money any longer except on protein. Phillips is full of bs. IP: Logged |

What got me about the video was that woman who won! They never said anythging about her transforming routine or diet. They just showed a before and after picture. If you ask me (which no one did), she had her fat sucked out surgically. Then Bill was trying to be a mack and give her a "personal" workout when he was trying to bust everyone's else balls in his "state of the art" weight room! ------------------ IP: Logged |

Who cares if they want to do it the hard way, on roids we workout harder than they do, we have more fun, our sex drive is WAY higher, were stronger, and leaner, and most important of all we achieve our goals before were "worm food"!!!!! IP: Logged |

It is a shame that people like Bill Phillips exists. He's rich beyond rich (money anyway), and uses his psych and english background to play the people who are trying to get in shape. As far as for his supplements go. I used them before a show twice to get shredded. I held more water than I ever have in my life. Later I find that his supplements contain the exact amounts of the main ingredient, but his secondary ingredients, ie: carbs....etc are way off. He loads his products with fake sugar products, which will lead to as much water retention as real sugar, and his carbs are a lot higher than he claims. So anyone who believes that Bill Phillips is saling a quality product is way off. WHY DO MOST OF THE PEOPLE IN THE US THINK THAT THEIR COUNTRY IS #1 FOR QUALITY. YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE AN FDA APPROVING THE PRODUCTS. JUST MY 2 CENTS, BUT WHEN I BUY MY PRODUCTS I GO TO COUNTRIES LIKE GREAT BRITAIN, ENGLAND.....etc. WHERE THERE IS AN FDA. THE US IS THE FAKE SUPPLEMENT CAPITAL OF THE WORLD!!! I WOULD NEVER BUY FROM HERE UNLESS I PAID TO GET THE PRODUCT ANALIZED MYSELF. CLEAN, FOREIGN COUNTRIES ARE THE WAY TO GO. SORRY GEORGE, NOT TO PUT MASS Q DOWN, BUT I ALSO AM AWARE THAT SOMEONE BIG IN M.Q. WAS THE FIRST SPOKESPERSON FOR BILL, AT LEAST THAT IS WHAT THIS AFFILIATE CLAIMED. HOPE THAT IS NOT THE CASE ANYMORE. WAS TOLD THIS FROM THE PERSON I ORDERED 19NOR FROM WHEN YOU GUYS FIRST INTRODUCED IT. SORRY IF I AM WRONG ABOUT THIS, BUT ONE OF M.Q. EMPLOYEES / OWNER STATED THAT HE WAS THE FIRST, AND CLAIMED TO BE THE OWNER, SO EITHER WAY IT DID'NT GO OVER TOO WELL WITH ME. I STILL LOVE THE BOARD AND EVERYTHING YOU ARE DOING WITH IT, BUT HAVING PEOPLE SALING MQ PRODUCTS AND USING BILL PHILLIPS AS A REFERANCE IS NUTS IN MY OPINION. IP: Logged |
