i just got 20 green nile sus 250 amps no band around neck i filed it s neck then tried to snap it and it shattered what a waste before i try again i would like any suggestions thanks

Yoops, thats never happened to me before. However before I snap the neck I give the amp a 'flick' with my finger nail around the line I've scored with the file. This serves to make sure the break line run's through the glass.

i have the same things and some primo and here is what to do, and i have never cut myself or ruined a batch....
file a little bit with whatever(a nail file, knife,etc) then take a washcloth and pinch it with you washcloth and hold on to the base with your other hand ,,,snap and no mess

Just use a pen cap to snap the end off, it always works for me.

I remember some dude asking about this last week. Here's the tip that I passed on then.

If you don't have the tools to get a clean break on the amps try this.
Take the lid off of the back of you toilet (water tank). Rub the vials on the unglazed parts of the porcelin. Some lids even have little tabs that make it easier. Rub gently back and forth while rotating the amp. Scores the amps pretty good.
