Well guys, in 1 month I hit the 40 year mark.

Started lifting 2 years ago and it has become my addiction. While I fear my workouts, once I get to the gym, everything turns to getting the job done. Three times a week and 1-2 hours per. While it is a little harder to grow muscle at this age (I have not done any AS yet) that does not keep me from trying! I eat right, train with intensity and proper form, rest, and right now I'm in the best shape of my life.

It is a challenge to juggle my business, kids, wife, mortgage, car payment and all the other realities of life, but all the work you put into improving your body is the one thing you carry with you at all times.

It' time to take it to a new level...soon

Hey man I know what you mean, I am 47 started lifting a little over 2 years ago. I eat a very clean diet and have really made some good gains, my bodyfat is around 6% am 5'10" 174, not huge but getting there . It is not about age it is about commitment!! You can be 20 but if you dont make the commitment and have the dedication you will never reach your goals. Hell at 47 I am starting my first cycle next wednesday, feel
like a kid at christmas<G>

I'm another 40+'er, I turn 42 next month and have been lifting since a teenager. I ordered my gear this week for my first cycle and I can't wait. After all these years in the gym I decided to go the chemical route to keep the results of all the hard work.

So refreshing to see other guys at my age of (40) that are still natural and looking for their first cycle. I've lifted a little over two years, and have made dramatic progress. It's all about supplementation, training, and diet.....any one of those links missing and you won't succeed. But the plateau is inevitable, I'm ready to go to the next level too!!! BUMP FOR THE OLD BROS!!!! LOL

Hey guys, What do y'all say about some before and after pictures for the board?
Most people think of over 40 as pot bellied old men. We can crush that image right here!! I know I can.

Assuming my supplier comes through, that is.

cool to know there are some other dudes on here at 40+. I started lifting 5 years ago at 35 - I was 6'1" at 155. Was 190, 11% BF and natural until starting first cycle two weeks ago. 202 today, got 255 on bench today for the first time.

KEEP GROWIN' BROS!!

Good going bro's just finished my cycle, have had good gains for a relatively short cycle of six weeks, 13 lbs gained in that time, just need to keep up the work and diet.
44 years, and looking to get bigger, may go to useing testocreme for a more steady regimine of suppliments, a steady state seems to provide a better measure of health, just had my blood work done, it's fine, so the creme maybe the next step, at forty plus the natural test levels are dropping and I think my Dr will run my blood for test levels, then we may go for the testocreme, 200 mg per two grams, do that every day and you'll gain for sure, slow but steady.Either that and I'll go for the test ethanate shots every two weeks, problem with that is I travel a lot and getting to the doc might be hard unless he's going to let me do it my self. Shit it's no big deal to give your self a shot..Oh I went from 14% bf to 8%, nice flat stomach, I like it.I may have to stop the travel through, I'm tired of it. It really fucks up my lifting schedule.

the test. creme sounds like the way to go for constant release instead of peaks and valleys associated with the shots. When its available I'm going for it too.

I'm 35 and contemplating my first cycle as well. I'd love to hear the progress reports as you "older bros" try AS for the first time. Any reservations about reactions from wife/kids/business associates/employees when you suddenly start to make rapid gains?

Yeah kanuk, I've considered the reactions from co-workers etc. My reason for using "juice" is that I want to maintain the gains I've achieved over the past 25 years of weight training. I'm not interested in putting on 20 or 30 lbs. of weight. After researching the options I've decided on a cycle of primobolan. Its supposed to be the mildest and safest of the steroids. They say you can make moderate gains of quality muscle and most importantly, keep what you put on. So if the cycle allows me to harden up a little and gain a few lbs. I'll be happy and no one should notice a dramatic change in my physique. I'm 5'11'' and 190 lbs. with a 32 inch waist. Relatively respectable for 42 years but definitely not a body that would turns heads. I accepted along time ago that I don't have the genetics to compete and I'm happy the way I am. Good luck. Keep us posted. E-mail me if you need any info.

Hey kanuk,
Yeah I have some reservations regarding friends/coworkers when it comes to my first AS cycle and what their reactions will be. Actually, my family noticed all of the "natural" progress and were quite stunned by it, especially my mother who travels and doesn't see me often. I think I'm going to tell everyone that I've found the "ultimate" natural prohormone that (when stacked w/creatine) is the reason I'm growing so much! LOL And to tell you the truth, most nonbodybuilders would probably buy that. And unless they're willing to pay for an expensive urinalysis........they'll have to believe it! Egoman...........I hope I'm still pumpin' when I'm your age bro!!

Thanks gentlemen. This was a great post to read. I thought everyone else on this site was 22 years old and on their 3rd AS cycle. I'll soon be 36, I am merely 6 feet, 170 pounds, but like many of you I have been lifting on and off for many years and want to improve, so I'll be starting my first cycle in June.

GearHead WannaBe-I thought the same re: ages of members, its great to see a fair number of "middle age" guys here who are ready to move to AS. I expect that the motivation and desired results are different for our age group compared to the younger guys. As mentioned in a couple of other posts, I'm contemplating AS for moderate gains and toning, not getting huge. All you guys who start a cycle-keep the rest of us updated with your program and your progress.
Have a great day!
