Well bro's, I had to get off the diet for a while because I was sick, and I'm gonna go back on it. I think I lost some good amounts of fat, and layed on some muscle.. a lil bit of juice doesn't hurt either. I read the book again, and got psyched up about it. Vascularity, definition, size, and strength has increased. I do like the insulin surges on the weekends a lot- plus being able to eat ANYTHING(on the weekend). What really interested me was that he mentioned that GH and insulin are related to each other- as insulin rises, GH lowers- and vice versa. This is all true, except during the weekends the body is in a shock from recieving massive amounts of glycogen so insulin rises, but so does GH from the shock. Interesting stuff.. definitely gonna go back on it in a week or so. Any other bro's that are on this diet, tell me your thoughts and what you've felt about it. Also mention if you're supplementing with AS.. PEACE [This message has been edited by Sittin' On Diesel (edited April 28, 2000).] IP: Logged |

I did the anabolic diet and was really pleased with it. There seems to slightly different versions of it out there. The one I did was one week at maintenance level calories, one week at half of maintenance level calories then 2 weeks at one-and-a-half maintenance calories. IP: Logged |

I just started the diet. I was very irratetable when I couldn't have any carbs for a few days. But once my body stopped buring sugars for fuel I started to feel great. Unfortnately I thought that the weekend carbloading wasn't going to be helpful so I skipped it for a couple of weeks. This last weekend I carbed up and WOW! Amazing how awesome my body felt in the gym the next day. Unbelivable pumps. It really is a good diet to follow. I would reccomend it to anybody trying to lose fat and build muscle and strenght. This is a pretty sweet diet, once your body gets used to it. I've been on the diet 3 weeks and have put on 5 pounds of lean mass. My first carb up meal that first weekend was pretty intense. Felt like passing out. One problem I had, though, was not supplementing with fiber. The first week was alright, but the second week I was having stomach troubles. I thought maybe I was going to give birth to a pack of wolves on the crapper. Once Metamucil entered the picture, my life has become more regular. No other "supplements." Just slab after slab of sweet sweet steak. IP: Logged |

The first week of the diet was hell for me but I had already noticed results in fat loss. And by the weekend my muscles appeared much larger from the carb load. All in all it is a good diet but I get really bored eating the same foods over and over again. IP: Logged |
