![]() ![]() ![]() I want to try proteinfactory.com, but I am unsure as how to customize my powder. I want about 50 g of protein and around 40-60 carbs. Besides that, I don't know what else to mix. Creatine? Aminogens? this would be for a post workout drink. Someone who has experience w/ the Protein Factory please help. Thanks a lot. ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() anyone ever tried the 5 lb jug of optimum nutrition whey protein 22grams per serving 80 servings i think the price is between $30-35 they say you get what you pay for and to me this beats paying 40 bucks for desighner protein and getting 20 servings and less protein. ![]() ![]() ![]() i know you guys like to build your proteins and stuff and even take that expensive stuff, but to me for just pure protein i go for the 6 pound jugs of pro performance whey from GNC, buy one get one half off, and 20% off of that, i get 12 lbs of whey for only 52 bucks!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() You definitely needs some carbs right after lifting... It's crucial to restore glycogen levels before your muscles eat themselves. btw- Has anyone tried that nitro-tech stuff, muscle mag hypes the shit out of it, but considering they sell it, I'd like to get some impartial reviews before buying. ( the shit is expensive) IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() muscles2... I also use 100% whey by optimum. I had been using Met-rx, but decided to mix it up. I get the 5 pound jugs for $28 bucks from a local supplier. You can order from him over the web at: http://www.hardbodiessupplements.com/ There are only 2 carbs per serving, so if it's post workout make sure to eat some extra carbs. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Just my .02. Eat as much of your protein as you can. It will be more satisfying and more complete as far as amino acid profiles are concerned. Chicken, turkey, lean beef, skim dairy products etc. Yes for the sake of ease, drinks are great. I use optimum and pay 23$ per 5lb can. If you can afford the more expensive stuff then go for it. Yes it's nice to be able to have different protein combinations but not manditory. Remember the old school body builders Pearl, Columbu, Arnold,Draper, Robinson, etc. These guys had very simple diets in comparison to the modern day competitors, but they all had outstanding physiques and mucho strength. It would seem that if we were to bust ass in the gym and eat plenty of simple clean food the addition of 'suppliments' should take us exactly where we want to go. Unless you're a pro, or want to be one, I would say that less is often more. Again not a flame, just an observation. WW IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for the help. I wrote them today. What about the creatine? I took it about 3 years ago, but wondered if you guys thought it would be worth trying. What about aminogens? Any other suggestions would be appreciated. ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Yeah, I like proteinfactory. They have some good shit. I recommend everyone to add the aminogens to their protein. It's inexpensive and there's good research behind it (check out aminogen.com). In terms of taste, the lower quality proteins (such as whey concentrate) usually taste better. If you want 5 different types of protein in one drink, try penta pro (whey isolate, hydrolyzed whey, egg, soy, and caseinate). My girlfriend hates the taste of the protein drinks but if you get the Penta Pro w/ orange flavoring and stevia/acesulfame, it actually tastes like fruit loops (yeah, surprised me too.) Even my girlfriend likes that shit. The only thing I don't like about proteinfactory is that I live on the west coast and it takes forever for their ground shipping to get here from New Jersey. Other than that, no complaints. I hope that information helps someone out... IP: Logged |
