Do any of you guys have any pictures or know what Arnold looked like in the off season? The only pics I have seen of him have been close to a competition. I'm talking off season weight, bf%, shit like that. IP: Logged |

I saw one pic where he looked like shit. It was in the Muscle Mag special #2. First I thought it was me, then I showed it to some bros, and they all said the same thing. He was a twig. Problem is you can't tell how old he was or when taken. He seemed slightly post competition. If he weighed more than 205 in it I'm a dirty rotten mofo. He still had definition but his mass was shit. I still can't believe they posted it. BTW if you know it ---> he was leaning on a rock on a mountain type setting with other hand on hip and smiling and his shirt was off and in his hand. sp IP: Logged |

If you want to see Arnold off cycle, just pick up a copy (if you can find one) of his autobiography, "Education of a Body Builder." It's a good read, but the pictures in the back where he is explaining different exercises are great. He is really small. Particularly demonstrating the pushups and dips between the chairs. Have fun. Not that I am a raving Arnold fan, but I would have to disagree with the bros. I think the most compehensive publication with photos of Arnold through the years and off/on season must be his Encyclopedia. Arnold repeadely mentions the fact that his off/on season weight never varies more than 20 pounds or so and it is definitely evident from his off season and competition photos. Arnold was at his most massive off season at 240 pounds and competed at around 215-220. Bodybuilders of the 70's never went to the extreme measures that modern day freaks go to of cramming the weight off season and crashing it pre-contest. Check it out - great read!!! IP: Logged |
