How much protein is in Turkey?? I am getting SO sick of chicken breasts, I had turkey tonight. I was wondering how much protein is in 16 oz. of white meat?? Does your body process it like chicken?? Thanks.

Whew, B_Funk got precise, I like that. I have a bitch of a time with the same protein, too. Try to rotate day by day, it worked for me. Fish, chicken, beef, pork sparingly (obviously), turkey, and whey mixed in fruit juice. Dark meat has 12% fat compared to 3% in breast, check that out.

I rotate my food as well, but I always use my George Forman grill, if you don't own one you should see the stuff that comes out of some sirloin paties.

It has good protein to fat ratio, a good choice.

I can't beleive that the sight or smell of tuna hasn't been making me sick yet. I eat 3 cans a day everyday. Been doing this for over a month now. I got sick of chicken after 1 week eating it once a day. Maybe it's because tuna has almost no taste?

Thanks for all the info. I was wondering because I stopped by a Boston Market and they had sliced turkey(1lb) for 6.49. It's cooked, tender and delicious. I woofed it down. You think it was loaded with tryptophan?? I could use it to sleep. heh! heh!
Since it seems to be good for protein, I think I will get it once a day. Like I said chicken and tuna are starting to SUCK!!!! I should be able to handle this turkey for about 3 weeks.
