Hey Explosive You body MAY be using up the Ketones so dont worry to much about it Have you also hit the Cardio? I noticed that when I did a Monday/Tuesday workout and did not cardio, then it would take till Wed /thurs morning to get into LIGHT ketosis (but this could be just that my body is using up the ketones). You could also add some alphalipoic acid before morning cardio on sunday if you are carbing friday and saturday, it will lower your bloodsugar and force the liver to use more glycogen. Watch out though, cuse it could cause you to faint, b/c of low blood sugar, so use low doses(200mg), and work up from there. I wouldn't use it with your weight training workouts though, because you need optiomal intensity for the muscle sparing effects. IP: Logged |

It could also be that you're not eating enough fat. If you eat too much protein and not enough fat, you'll have trouble reaching ketosis because your body will convert the amino acids into glycogen. Eat really fatty Mondays and Tuesdays and you should be in keto by Wednesday morning. Cardio and the other suggestions will help also. The Doctor IP: Logged |

Also, you don't have to be so restrictive on the carbs. I usually can tolerate about 50 or so grams a day. You'll have to experiment yourself. It makes life a lot easier if you can get a few carbs in. Then you can eat stuff like sugar free jello and cool whip if you're going nuts for something sweet. The Doctor IP: Logged |

Oftentimes you'll only show purple on your first urination of the day, as you will be eliminating any ketones formed during a period of prolonged inactivity. If you don't turn the strips purple, you're probably burning ketones for fuel while active. In making this statement, I'm assuming you're doing the diet correctly. IP: Logged |

Looks good to me- takes a few weeks to get in the groove. Don't worry about ketones as much- you are on track with the low carbs. As stated- keep the fats up- I even take a couple spoonfuls of philly creme cheese b4 bed to lower insulin. After a few weeks you will love the effects blu IP: Logged |
