I am going into the Air Force.........My spring cycle is set to start in two weeks, my admission testing and enlistment will be in the middle of may. I'm taking winny, fina, and eq...........does anyone know if this will be a problem? I know there are plenty of military people that take roids, but i didn't know if the initial enlistment test was more thorough. PLEASE ADVISE!!! ------------------     | ||

You only got a prob with Coke, Heroin, Or Pot. You can see on the medical form thats what they test for. | ||

FYI... They don't test for roids. i was in the AF and plenty of guys are on them. Don't admit to using even once, experimentally. if it isn't in your system and they don't find it, they can't prove anything. By admitting to even a one time use, they will disqualify your for a whole host of careers. To sum it up, if they can't find it on a test, don't let them trick or pressure you into admitting anything. "No sir, I have never used illegal \ controlled substances" should be your motto. | ||

You should say no to everything........I was in the army and let me tell ya. The job I wanted was'nt available. So I said ok then I aint joinin'........OH OH HANG ON, LET ME MAKE A CALL!!!! Well what do you know? It got guarenteed to me You gotta hagle w/ them.------------------ | ||

they will only be testing for the common street drugs of abuse...steroid testing is expensive and is only done by a specialty lab..unless u should have a past history of steroid abuse or use..they will test for pot, speed, heroin, valium, barbiturates, codeine, morphine, etc...u should be ok..later | ||

they do not test for roids. do not talk about them in the gym, don't keep them in the barracks AND DO NOT TRY TO SELL THEM. if you do then you are standing a chance to get tested. military law is different than civilian law. your commanding officer is judge, jury and execuioner so all he needs to do is contact a jag person to see if it's ok, then he can prosecute you, judge you, then sentence you all by him or herself. Did 12 years in the military and everybody from cooks to tankers to rangers to pilots, officers and enlisted were using them. good luck. make it a career, the civilian world can be kinda tuff! 4rt ------------------ | ||

If youre SF in some Armies youre aloud on them I believe. But yeah everyone is right on the nail by saying dont say "yeah I did such and such once". In there its illegal even to admit that ... | ||

I could have done lines walking in the door to MEPS, I was in the Air Force for a year and a half before they tested me. I had already taken a drug test when I had signed up, 11 months prior. If you've already signed up and they did the initial inprocessing at MEPS (do they still call it MEPS) you should be good. I have never heard of them testing anyone for juice, ever. | ||

HE'S GOT A POINT AFTER DOING 8 YEARS IN MARINE CORPS I HAD SEEN EVERYTHING FROM NEW OFFICERS STRAIGHT FROM OCS AND TOP ENLISTED MEN DOING EVERYTHING FROM GH TO FINA AND HELL EVEN FEMALES I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT NEW ABOUT IT. WRONG ASSUMPTION THERE IS ALOT OF USAGE IN THE MILITART SERVICE ESPECIALLY IF STATIONED IN SAND DIEGO.
