hey guys, just got my durateston 250 amps the other day . now i know you can just break them at the neck but it looks like there is a large air bubble in there that goes past the neck and it looks like some of it is past the neck also. i dont want to waste any  so should i use some sort of tool to cut it off higher? how do you guys open them?    | ||

just hold the amps semi-sideways and shake them till everything goes into the base. then pop the top | ||

The Home Depot sells a pack of six miniature files for about $6. Just score around the neck a couple of times and pop the top off. They work great. I've never wasted an amp since. ------------------ My mother never saw the irony in calling me a son-of-a-bitch. | ||

All you have to do is roll up two pieces of toilet tissue. Using the tissue grab the bottom of the amp with one hand and the tip f the end with another. Then just aplly presure till it pops open. I have never had any problems. | ||

Shake the amp untill it all falls to the bottom. To crack it open you can score it with a file as mentioned above or I use a steak knife, works every time. | ||

I use a fine file and then I just pop it right off! Simple as hell! Just don't file through the whole thing Mass Monster | ||

Dude, like some of the guys are saying, shake the oil down to the bottom of the amp, that will get rid of the bubbles. There is no reason to score the neck, amps are made so that the neck is the weakest link and will break off with minimum effort. If you want you can hold the amp with tissue to avoid getting cut by the glass. ------------------ | ||

If you want you can hold the amp with tissue to avoid getting cut by the glass. apparantly all the amps you have got are pre scored,wait till you go to break one that has not been scored.i have crushed amps and cut the shit out of my fingers trying to open some.the best way is to score with a file and take a lid off a ink pin,slide over the neck of amp then snap it off | ||

I don't file, I just wrap it in my towel, after I get out of the shower. 1, 2, 3, snap. Easy as that. |
