Ok heres the deal. I'm on my 5th day of clen. I'm not on anything else right now, just the clen. I'm cycling like this:
day 1-1 pill
day 2-2 pills
day 3-3 pills...etc. I'm noticing at the gym this past Mon and Tues that my strength has gone down quite a bit. I can't seem to finish any of my sets, and can't do my normal weights. I don't know if its cus of the cramping mid set or what. Its a noticable cramp, but no really painful. I was ready for the cramps, shakes, and headaches, but not for the strength loss. WTF is up with this???

your dose of 60mcg/day should not be enough to cause strength loss. take magnesium supps to help the cramps. also potassium too, but not from caps. go to your local grocery store and look for salt substitutes (KCl instead of NaCl) for people with hypertension. this is by far the most cost efficient way of obtaining postassium.

now for a very abbreviated mechanism of clen and muscle catabolism for those who are interested:

clen has inherent anabolic qualities due to beta-2 stimulation, but at high doses this anabolic property is offset by another mechanism of catabolism. clen increases the permeability of the membranes of the sarcoplsmic reticulum (muscle) to calcium causing greater leakage of calcium and less of a calcium gradient. this causes a release of 2 important enzymes called calpain and ubiquitin proteases that will break down muslce tissue. this is independent of exercise. taking too much clen can actually make a person sore without working out.

if this muscle catabolic effect persists more then you might want to lower the dosage if you don't want to lose any more muscle.

thanks DNP, very informative post. But like you said, 60mcgs/day, shouln'd have an effect on strength. I was planning on goin up to 10 pills/day and then back down again. Should I stop at 6 (tomorrow) and then come back down?? Do you really think the clen is having that great of an effect on muscle loss?? I never knew it was catabolic. I have always know clen to be ANTI catabolic. Any more advise appreciated.

wait a sec. you're planning on going up to 10 pills a day? that's 200mcg, unless you have the 10mcg tabs.

i think your strength decline is from the cramps caused by magnesium/potassium depletion and not overdosing of clen. go up to six (120mcg) and you should be ok. after that watch for what happens to your strength. at 200mcg clen's catabolic effects should definitely outweigh its anabolic properties.

My fault DNP, I meant 8/day, not 10. I don't know why I typed that. I will try my 6 today and see what happens. Thanks again man.
