My doctor prescribed this for a persistant cough, but the listed side effects include loss of muscle mass, loss of strength, water retention, stomach distention and increased sweating. Sounds like this might be worse than my cough. Should I say, No thanks?     | ||

A very popular drug often prescribed for a variety of complications. In you case I assume your M.D is attempting to flush out excessive fluid build up in the lungs. How long has the cough persisted? There are better options for the treatment of excessive fluid production. As far a side effects they are mild a best. Are you mid cycle now? If so you should come clean with your Doc. Yes, I would definitely ask if something else is available. I don't know how NSAID's (Non-steroidal anti-inflamatory Drugs) would work for a cough but I would at least enquire about them or other means of relieving/curing your problem. BTW, I am not a doctor. | ||

OK, thanks. I think I'll ask him for something else. My cough has lasted for a little longer than a week. It's pretty severe at night. |
