I just received something from ****** and it was sent priority mail WITH a waived signature - but it still had to be signed for anyway. Its been over a week now, and nothing has happened ( knock on wood ). I think the postal service does it as sort of a "cover your ass" procedure.

well freakazoid, thats a lot more than what I ordered. try to get the person who is shipping it to you to wrap the package in gift wrap ( like birthday wrapping paper ) and then wrap it in brown shipping paper. SOMETIMES ( not all of the time ) if customs opens it up and sees the gift wrap, they MAY leave the package alone. This is not a certain thing though. Other than that, you know the deal --- write "return to sender" when you get it, and put it by the door for a week of so.

USPS is now offering "Signature Confirmation" for packages sent via Priority. I prefer standard "Delivery Confirmation" is the best never a signature. USPS domestic Priority only. You can waive signature on global priority letters. I'd never send a large package via Global Express or any other Postal System expedited service for security reasons.

Priority means just that priority. I always have shit sent to grandma's house she signs for it. As far as the name on the package she thinks my roomates name is Dale and nobody is home to except packages at our house. We always wait to go to grannies for a pickup. My source says the faster you ship it the less time it spends in customes. He claims he's never gotten a seized priority package but has lost several through regular mail.
