Both of us are boarderline insomniacs, have been for a long time. ON OCCASION, we take a little ghb to help us sleep. No alcohol, other drugs or anything while taking it. We mix up two doses each when we use it. One right before we go to bed and the second for about 4 to 5 hours later when we wake up and can't get back to sleep. We have been doing this for about 5 months, no more than twice a week.

Anway, we took our normal dose about 2 hours after eating, 30 minutes before we go to bed. No problem, right? Well about 2 hours after we went to bed, I was awakend by her moaning in her sleep real load. I tried to talk load, bpush etc, to wake her up. Nothing worked, I pulled the earplugs from her ears (she wears them because I snore) thinking "maybe she can't hear me!", still nothing. OK, I am getting worried now!

I turned the light on and noticed she had this odd look on her face and she was out cold. Then I noticed the empty glass on the side of the bed, she took the second dose already, judging by the clock and how she reacts, it had to have been about 45 minutes earlier. One 1 1/2 hours after her first "full" dose. Fear struck me bigtime. I tried everything to wake her, even slapping her some, still nothing. I thought "911". But I threw some cold ice water one her a little and she woke up. Thank God! Everything ok, right? Wrong!

She was awake, but very unresponsive to what I was doing and saying, just as limp as can be. One eye was open, and the other was closed. I had never been so terrified in my life. Anyway, I tried 911, couldn't get a damn answer. So I called a friend of mine that warks in the emergency room at a hospital. Told them everything and when I came back to the room, there was puke all over the floor, but I din't see her. I had a vision of her somewhere in the house laying face down unconcious or dead or something. I thought earlier I had been terrified, this feeling topped the first.

Then, all of the sudden, I heard a cough and found her in the bathroom sitting on the toilet. very concious, but still a little out of it. She was ok, could answer my questions and was very responsive. So I cleaned her up and keep her up for about an hour, just to be sure, then we went back to bed. I don't think I went to sleep the rest of the night. I just watched her, and made sure she was breathing, etc..

Scary shit bro's. I don't know what made her decide to take the other dose so soon, maybe she mis read the clock or something. This I can tell you bro's. There is a fine line between the amount to take for a good night sleep and possibly OD'ing. Be carefull with that shit, I think it is safe to say we are threw with that shit. I am just fortunate to still have my wife, it could have real easily been a lot worse.

this needs to be your wake up call...stop doing the GHB, my brutha. especially get your wife off that shit. do a search on GHB on this forum...there was a good thread on how use of G can get out of control. this almost cost you your wife...nothing is worth that.

On a side note a friend of mine got caught with 3 oz of GHB in his car and got arrested.
He is a first time offender and has a good lawyer. Do you think he will have to do any jail time for simple possession?

If you feel you need something to get to sleep, try benzodiazapines such as valium. They have a much more forgiving dose response curve and you would have to be trying to overdose on them.

If you decide to continue to use GHB, train yourselves on what to do in case of overdose.
