The first 10 issues were awsome. I still read them today...Great pics advise and expertise......Then our buddy bill hopped on the gravy train and forgot his roots , and most of all himself....What do you guys think?

I got burned on a subscription too. ..but only a two-year.

I'm not a homophobe but the new picture format they started using made my skin crawl.
The old mag mostly just had pictures of guys working out in a gym or something, remember?

The new one had all sorts of retarded weird crap going on. I remember at one point they smeared gold paint all over one guy?
And to make it worse in the following issue they printed people's letters saying how great it was.

It got to the point where I was actually embarrased that someone else would see it in my home.

Any of you bro's paint yourselves gold and strut around in a speedo lately?

Yeah, a few years back this used to be a great magazine. I used to read it the whole time.

Now, like so many others, it is a pile of poop.

I picked up an issue recently just to see what it is all about since I haven't read one in a while. (I stopped after the infamous BP line, "Using this HMB....kinda feels like Deca")

That magazine has a "cultish" flavor going on and that scares me. They're amassing droves of "Body for Lifers" that march to GNC every super tuesday for the monthly fix of EAS products.

However, I do think the BFL program is an acceptable approach to becoming "fit" for beginners and people that want to maintain a decent, in-shape physique....like mom.

Weider didn't take over MM... that's an inaccurate rumor. I agree with the general consensus about Muscle Media deteriorating over the past few years, but to be honest, I can't say that I blame Bill Phillips for making the format change. He's making a shitload more money now than he was 3 years ago in the Muscle Media 2000 era. Last I heard, he was worth 70 million. SEVENTY MILLION DOLLARS. Can anyone really blame the guy? Besides, he may have sold guys like us out, but the BFL thing is helping out a lotta outta shape Americans. Just my 2 cents.

Weider doesn't own Musclemedia. I know bc I work in publishing. Its an Emap publication. They also bring us books such as NFL Insider.

geez...dont get me started on the "body for lifers". They are constantly running around my gym with theri EAS products and their newspapers to have their pictures taken with blabbing on endlessly about the contest. These poor people think they are actually going to win a Lambo or Vette - or whatever the hell they are giving away this time, by doing all of this crap - and doing it naturally. Ba Ha Ha!

Since their drug test is just a lie detector, I think we should all "compete" and crush the hearts and spirits of all of those disillusioned drone Bill Phillips followers!
