yeah I know he didnt fight mike tyson, but I am a huge mike tyson fan and this makes it more of a reality that mike coulld once again be the undisputed hw champ.....and i dont know why the threads were locked, doesnt make sense, I see threads on here all the time not pertaining to bb, if a mod cant figure out that "lets hear it for mike tyson" means lets root him on to be the next champ, I dont get it, what how come the bullshit threads arent locked either? I will keep posting this until its not locked. Why arent the "how did your team do in the nfl draft, or markus schenkindick" why are they open?    | ||

I feel if tyson becomes champ again he will justify all the bullshit he has gone through all his life, the streets as a young man, a divorce, rape conviction, bad defeat to buster D, ear biting incident......espn said that rhamen will not fight lennox lewis again, cause tyson is the mandatory challenger, and rahmen will get atleast 20-30 million for a tyson fight, with lewis there will be no big money involved since tyson brings the biggest draw. | ||

personally I think a guy who who gives a 6'4 250 lb man a concussion, broke ribs, and basically ends a guys career in 3 rounds is pretty much lethal at this point, I think mike is focused and now that this twist has happened in the sport of boxing, whoever fights mike, I feel sorry for them, because now I bet he will kill the next opponent, there have been 2 or 3 boxing related deaths just recently. | ||

bro mike tyson is a unique and special guy.....Im sure he loves halotestin or some propionate, or winstrol......but I was reading some boxing journalism, and basically evander holyfield is still boxing, and now the fight last night makes everything crazy.........they were talking of a tyson/holyfield fight, and said it will never happen, now that mike has a shot at regaining the title, that thought could be reality, I doubt it, but hell could mike stand in the ring with a man whos ear he bit off, and could evander stand in the ring with a tiger that bit his ear off.....Man all of sudden boxing is peaking in a state of chaos......the time its most exciting!!!! | ||

Pride, KOTC, Shooto is good, but if you look at who is winning now it's all the strikers. Vanderlei Silva, Pedro Rizzo, Sakurai, Igor Vovchanchyn, Tra Telligman, Vitor belfort, etc. None of the latter strikers could match Tyson's skill and power. Boxing will always be here and it's exciting. | ||

Mike tyson may be, the most "overrated" boxer in the past 20 years. I know, everyone loves him because he beats guys "sensless",...but coming from someone who has studied the sport for the last 15 years,....he's really not that great of a boxer. Do you think it's a coincidence that he stayed away from L. Lewis, R. Bowe(when he was good), and up untill a few years ago, E. Holyfield? That's good managing that keeps a fighter like Tyson away from the real talent. To tell you the truth, Evander was the first truly great boxer he ever fought, and what happened?..........don;t say, "what about Frank Bruno......or Micheal Spinks,...or Larry Holmes(old man when he fought him)..............let's face it.........Tyson may be fun to watch,....but don't give him too much credit........ | ||

well I agree tyson has fought nothing but a bunch of chumps, except holyfield, and wait, remember holyfield/tyson were to fight, but he got sent to prison on a rape case....so I dont think that latter fights with holyfield were even a boxing match, it was a media stunt, to appease the media and boxing watchers.....Mike tyson has been through so much, if you dont like him then the hell with ya, but face it the guy is still around and he is the number one contender. I think if he would have beat evander and buster D, he would have been 2nd to ali....as the greatest ever......they call him the one and only now......sound familiar!!!! | ||

It's funny how a guy can own your number. Sorta like Ali. He always had a hell of a time with Norton. Although he could woop guys that made Norton look bad. Foreman got wooped by an inferior Ali who was late in his career. Some guys just are better against other guys. I like Lewis. If he didn't train then he got what he deserved. I think Tyson is one of the best boxers of our time. He let his Ego piss away the best possible years of his carreer. For that I hate the prick. Lewis has a rematch clause but Ranhiem (or whatever his name is)gets one fight before that kicks in. That could cause some problems if he loses to someone else. I am however looking forward to the Tyson media circus. The fact that they take him off of his medication to prep for a fight is F'ing scary! ------------------ | ||

Look, at the end of the day I am now of the opinion that professional boxing is just as much scripted as the WWF. Lewis knew he would get beat (purposfuly), so he didn't even bother to train for it. That was obvious from the weight he was carrying. There just so happened to be a rematch clause in the contract, surprise surprise, yet Lewis talked at the end of the fight as if it was he that wanted a rematch. It had already been set! The whole event was free and put on the BBC, which is the first professional fight they have covered in years since Sky and pay per view. It is just a ploy to get more people interested in watching the rematch, after so many have lost faith in it as a sport anymore. Especially in light of the shady back handers and billion dollar industry which it has become. I'll bet the rematch will undoubtedly be a pay per view. At the same time this also sets up Lewis to look beatable as at the moment there is a lack of decent heavyweights that could really challenge him. He was not in shape at all in Africa so the only other explanation is if he underestimated this fight and was over confident in his ability. I suppose this will create more revenue by making the likes of Mick Tyson appear to have a decent chance against him though. Mike IMO was one of the greatest and most skilled fighters of all time, but the man has been through so much he is past his prime now. It is a shame as there are loads of good pro boxers out there, who given the opportunity could be just as high ranking but only the select names get any help in this game. | ||

well it sounds like now according to espn that everyone is dodging tyson now, I think rahmen will realize tyson will be his only big payday at 30million, but now they say since the rematch clause they dont know if the tyson Rhamen fight will happen, its frustrating to see mike tyson work so hard and everyone wants to dodge him and not fight him.........now I can see why he is a punisher, when he does fight someone he just unleashes his self, and I like it that they take him off the medication, then he is a fuckin madman ready to kill someone, like I said that shit he did almost ending whats his names career in 3 rounds says it all, the guy is hungry for the belts. | ||
