I was just reading through the archives trying to figure out if dnp was water solouble when I ran across some old posts by ozzymandus (sp?) about seeing yellow spots while on DNP. Read a few other posts where that was listed as a possible side effect. I've never tried DNP (prolly will soon though) but have done lipokinetix for a while before. The first time I did lipo- I was taking a shitload of other stuff along with it and had to stop after a week because of depression and the fact that I was overeating carbs like mad. Day 4 of lipo- usage through about a week or so afterwards, everything white (cept flourescant lights for some reason) looked yellow. I mean distinctly...Headlights looked like foglights. I was playing w/ dmso then though so I wasn't sure if dmso was the culprit as it can also cause this. I recently started another lipo cycle (god knows why, as shitty as I felt the last time and the fact I gave myself a terrible shoulder injury during a fit of anger on it) and having no dmso for a long time, I got the yellow distortion all over again...already stopped the lipo...day four and I was thinking about how much I hated myself and my life again. Just found it interesting that two fairly unrelated compounds both have this yellow eye effect in the body (for some ppl...maybe I was taking a high dosage, 6-9 plz a day at 170 lbs on low carbs). Anyone else get this effect on lipo- or am I still alone on this? I've heard the anger and depression before from others but not the yellowing yet. Peace

hmm, i've never experienced or heard that happen to anyone where they started seeing yellow on everything after dnp use. it may have been something else you were using in conjuction with your lipo that caused this condition.

Don't know about lipo, But there has been a few reports of people seing yellow dots when using excess amounts of dnp for to long periods of time. Never have I heard anyone getting this permanent though. I've used dnp a lot, and never experienced it, neither have anyone that I know. Take care, VIKING OF THE NORTH. ------------------

DNP has the ability to build-up over time in the cornea of a person. It has been shown to cause cataracts, but before I scare you to death ONLY IN WOMEN, so don't fret. I'll stipulate that your condition is based on your lipokinetix use. The active ingredient that mimics DNP(usnic acid) is very toxic. All you guys that think otherwise THINK AGAIN. It has terratogenic properties WORSE THAN those of DNP for a fraction of DNP's metabolism boosting properties. Stick to adipo-kinetix in conjunction with DNP or adipo-kinetix alone. (As you can probably tell Lipo-K isn't in my good book ). Godspeed

To help you, if you have not discovered this yet, DNP is not soluble in water, but it will form a water-soluble, sodium salt with sodium bicarbonate solution. I really have no evidence for this, just pure speculation, but since usnic and DNP are uncouplers and are affecting energy processes, this may be the cause of visual disturbances. "DNP has the ability to build-up over time FONZ, this is most likely a statistical artifact. Most people who are going to use weight-loss agents, tend to be women, so you will have a larger population of women in epidemiological studies of this type. If a problem occurs in small percentages (~1% of women showed increase cataract formation with DNP use), then you will see it more in the larger group. This is evidenced in the PPA study, that lawyers have used to drive PPA off the market. Young women (mostly with heart disease) showed a higher risk of strokes with PPA use, while men showed no increase in strokes. But young, overweight women were most likely the biggest users of Dexatrim-type products, therefore you would expect to see this in this group and not in the smaller groups (men, older women). I would surmise, that since the physiology of our eyes are not that different (I can't say this definatively, since I am not a opthalmologist), that cataracts from DNP use can occur in male eyes, just as it does in females. This is why you MUST use alot of antioxidants with DNP.

Has anyone known or heard of anyone dying on a normal dose of DNP.Maybe because they didnt react very well to it or something.

"DNP has the ability to build-up over time in the cornea of a person. Fonz, I am interested in what you had to say w/ your post. While I have researched every anecdotal report I could find on both drugs and every online article I could find on either, I have never spent much time looking them up on medline or anything. Despite that, I'd never heard anyone else assert that usnic acid was more toxic than DNP. I will say towards your case that I've never felt much shittier, more violent, more irratible, more depressed than I did on lipokinetix (even while taking stimulants to counteract the feeling shitty) and I also lost some strength on the stuff, and unfortunately not much fat loss due to extreme carb cravings which I seemed unable to control like I usually can. However, until I use DNP I won't know which is worse subjectively. Still, I'm wondering what gave you the conclusion that usnic acid was more toxic than DNP?
